Good bag
This is a good bag for your little ones on *warmer* campouts. This isn't a cold weather bag, so don't bring it out on those chilly nights because this will not hold up to the weather. For warmer campouts, this bag is great, comfortable, and light!

Great and Snuggly Sleeping Bag
This is a review for Wenzel Moose Boys 40-Degree Sleeping Bag.What's more fun than camping with the kids? Yah... I suppose a few folks out there might have a few ideas, but for me, I do enjoy camping!A few camping trips ago, we decided to purchase some new supplies. Tent, clothes line, gas burner, and, yes, sleeping bags. We decided to let our kids choose their own sleeping bag, and my 7 year old daughter wanted the pink wenzel moose 40 degree sleeping bag. It was within our budget, and when it arrived, I was excited. I wasn't as excited as my daughter, but that goes without saying. It's a well made sleeping bag that is plenty warm for late spring to early fall camping in lower altitude areas. I suspect that it would be a fine sleeping bag for camping in the mountains during this period of time, but I'd bring an extra blanket just in case. What I like most about the bag is that it rolls up easily, is small sized, and the straps are strong. It does come with a bag to slide the sleeping bag into, but I personally didn't see the point in this and let my daughter use it for packing her stuffed animals. My daughter loves that it is pink and has animals on it. She also says it is 'snuggly.'We've had the sleeping bag now for about two years. Its seen a lot of use, outside and inside. It is holding up quite well and washes just fine. My daughter has grown about a foot it seems during this time and still fits in the bag. I suspect my daughter will outgrow the bag before it gets worn out.I highly recommend this sleeping bag.

Even better than expected!
Ordered this sleeping bag for my 5 year old son, definitely wanted something outdoors worthy but nothing over the top for extremely cold nights, the 40-50 degree rating was ideal. Upon the very fast arrival of this sleeping bag (time from order placed to receiving it was less than 36 hours!) I was pleasantly surprised by the quality. It comes in a cinch bag and is nicely packaged, but when you take it out and unroll it - it's amazingly fluffy!! It's not matter down or wrinkly, it's just a very fluffy and cozy sleeping bag with more than ample space for a child. My 12 year old got into the sleeping bag to test the size and she fit comfortably at 5'1"....so this tells me that my 5 year old has years of enjoyment ahead with growing space in this bag. We immediately tested it out on a camping trip the following weekend in Central Oregon, night time temps in the mid 50s and he stayed snuggly warm the entire time sleeping in this bag in a tent. It even has the elastic straps attached for rolling up making it even easier to stuff into the storage bag. I highly recommend this product !

Likable but not for 40 degree
When we got it, my 3.5 year daughter loved it since it was pink with moose pattern. It looked like a quality item too.I was happy with it until we went camping at Mt Rainier last weekend, rainy with night temperatures at 42, and 45 the second night. My daughter having a warm footed pigama went inside the sleeping bag, and stayed there curled like a ball for the entire night. I was worried she suffocate.Next night she complained that her sleeping bag was too cold and she jumped into my sleeping bag. I let her be there and took her sleeping bag instead. It was a little bit smalish for me (I'm 5.7), but still covered my entire body except the head. At night I woke up freezing, so I went to the car and replaced it with an emergency sleeping bag of an unknown brand that I bought at a garage sale long time ago.I double checked my two boys (I have triplets), but they were pretty warm with almost half body outside their slepping bags, one rated for 45 degrees and the other for 30 degrees (both Eureka). That was surprising to me since the boy's sleeping bags were thinner and lighter, and I thought they would be colder. When we got home, I asked my daughter about her sleeping bag, and she said, next camping she will use daddy's sleeping bag. Then it looks I will replace her beautiful Moose sleeping bag with another one. I'm looking for Eureka or Kelty, both double the price what I paid for this bag, which is still good, but for higher temparetures, 50 degree or so.

l understimated this sleeping bag
This bag performed well above my expectations, especially for the price. I bought the pink one for my 2 year old girl and the blue one for my 4 year old boy. First of all, they loved them immediately so that was a bonus. We tented for 10 days in Mass. in August and had some warm humid nights but then a few nights that went down into the low 60's and both kids slept great every night. I was expecting it to be thin and flimsy, but the stuffing has some plushness to it. The material is the satin-y feel, inside and out which made it easy for the kids to get into the bag. I haven't washed them so I can't comment on that. Two features I liked were the attached elastic bands at the bottom for easy containment when rolled. I also like that there was small velcro "strap" that went from the bottom piece to the top piece right over the zippers. I felt like it helped keep the sleeping bag together even if the kids were wiggly through the night and it prevented the zipper from slipping down. Overall they felt very well made and much better quality than other bags I saw in that price range in the stores. They also come with a thin bag with drawstring which is a tiny squeeze to get them into, but makes for nice storage and easy traveling. One more thing...the pink is a little more pink and less purple, which wasn't a problem.

Great gift!
As a birthday gift for a young child, this was a hit! It will be easy for him to take to sleepovers and for summer camping. He loves the moose! With his sister's birthday coming up, I plan to purchase the same sleeping bag in pink.

Great Sleeping Bag for the Price
My daughter loves her sleeping bag. It's well made and is quite pillowy. It's good down to 4 degrees C, so not a winter bag by any stretch, but great for summer camping and sleep-overs. The zip is good quality and the stitching is also well done. There is a velcro close that has the manufacturer's name in embroidery, when closed prevents the zip from opening. There are two straps to help keep it rolled up after one rolls it up. The bag travels in a generous nylon stuff sack (also pink) which is easy for younger people to cram a poorly rolled up sleeping bag into. This is front-load washing machine washable which we like. The tag states "do not dry clean."At less than $25 delivered you cannot go wrong with this sleeping bag.

Durable, and at a great price.
Purchased for my 3 year old granddaughters visit. She really enjoyed it! Nice and warm (for use indoors) on her own mini sofa-bed. Cute moose pattern on the outer fabric. This will be usable until she's about 10 or 11 years old, I believe. Durable materials, including the zipper and velcro-type closure. Challenging to get back into its stuff sack, but we did manage it. A very reasonably price sleeping bag, too.

Perfect for young kids
Exactly as shown and described. Perfect for young kids. Seems warm ( just got it today) it's very pillowy. The zipper seems like it will last! The inside fabric is the same as the outside that's why I gave it a star less. Wish it was more velvet like. But it's NOT a noisy fabric . Happy! I would recommend.
