Really not a book
I'm afraid this is not a book. At 64 pages this is little more than a long essay.Right now Stoicism has seen a rise in popularity and the author has realised that there is a large gap in the market. Existing Stoicism literature says a lot about the correct state of mind/behaviours that underpin a true stoic. But there is very little in the current literature that gives us true practical exercises that may help us to develop those states of mind/behaviours in the every day, modern world. This book tries to sell itself as the solution to this problem, but it is simply a hastily put together article, with simple scenarios, showing you how a Stoic would deal with the situation. It is not worth purchasing if you're serious about incorporating stoicism into your life.I was shocked to see that there is actually a paperback version of this book...at 64 pages!I gave it two stars instead of one because I bought the kindle version for 99p, which is about all it is worth.

Ominously ignored philosophy
Although this book lacks the depth of Marcus Aurelius (meditations), Wallace Foulds puts together a good introduction, and answers numerous questions about stoicism. In spite of misgivings, commend this work for its confident presentation of an ominously ignored philosophy..
