Q: Is this the real game pad for wii u

I did not get a replacement...I got a refurbished authentic Wii U gamepad. Please note, I very much suggest you put it inside of a cabinet or somewhere it will not collect dust when you are not using it! The joysticks will collect dust and grime easily. Within 2 years I had two gamepads, one each year, and I had to replace them with a another one each year because of the dust collecting around the joysticks causing issues with gameplay. Why did I replace them here at Amazon instead of sending them to Nintendo? That was simple. Cheaper.

Q: Can more than one gamepad be used simultaneously?

Hello Rema: Thank you for your interest in my item. Unfortunately, only one gamepad can be synced to any particular Wii U at a time. I do believe that Nintendo was toying around with the idea of making it so that more than one gamepad could be used simultaneously per system. That being said, the idea remained an idea and was never implemented. Have a pleasant evening and thanks again for taking the time to consider my item!

Q: can I play ds and 3ds games on it

It's not that kind of thing. It come's with the win u and you can play wii u games with it. It's basically a remote control for the wii u not a separate game consol.

Q: Is the gamepad portable? I mean can we play games without the wii u console?

Hello Wendy. Thank you for your interest in my item. The gamepad is portable to an extent as it will have a decent connectivity range within your home. However, to the best of my knowledge, you cannot play any games with the gamepad apart from the wii u console. You will be able to play wii u games from various locations within your home, but using the pad to play games without the console is not possible.
