I think the makers have been taking attention to reviews. Gòod and Bad. The clock has a silent tick, but the alarm will not wake many people anymore. It did not wake me. This is a shame, because it is a nice looking clock, with a step second hand. It is light weìght, but seems well made.

tick tick too loud
The loud Tick wakes us, so keep clock in sock drawer not likely to use it very much.

Excellent clock
Slow delivery but worth it. The clock is lovely and just as expected

Very disappointed
Poor quality. Despite a new battery the clock loses time. The second hand jumps two or 3 seconds regularly. The case does not shut properly and is cheap looking. Avoid this product!!
