Kasp 119 High Security Combination Padlock 60mm Close Shackle

It a solid padlock. Easy to setup. It's waterproof and works.

I am well pleased with this purchase, one small concern, the black numbering does not seem to be very durable

I set the combination code to 1234 right after unpacking. I could not open it, gave it to my wife, and she opened it with the combination 1234. Then we closed it, and it would not open again, even though we tried and tried with the right combination 1234. Furthermore The numbers on the padlock combination "wheels" looked worn even though it was new from the plastic packkage. I rarely write reviews (i just read them), but this padlock just had too good reviews compared to what I just experienced. Think twice. Thumbs up for Amazon customer service!

A good quality lock that is now securing the gate to our village recreation ground. Ideal when you have to share a combination with sports clubs etc and much easier than a key. Working well and unblemished condition after two months of use and heavy rain.

We use this on our outside gates and it is exposed to the passing public. a very solid piece of kit, no one tries to play with it. The numbers are easy to read, even by streetlight and it has performed perfectly in all weathers.

This is the second KASP 119 padlock I have purchased in two years. The first padlock failed due to the shackle housing fracturing away from the main padlock body. I was inclined to give this failure the benefit of doubt, as its location was in a position where someone may have tried to gain entry by forcing the padlock. However, the replacement padlock has only lasted three weeks before something has gone awry internally, thereby rendering the padlock inoperable. We had to resort to angle grinding the padlock off to resume using our back gate to the factory. I intend to return both padlocks back to the manufacturer as they were sold with a 10 year warranty, and neither have been able to live up to the claim. It's a shame, as they appear quite sturdy and well made, but clearly something is amiss as two failures in two years is just not acceptable. I have now replaced it with a MASTER brand combination padlock that is sold with a lifetime guarantee, albeit the shackle is not as well enclosed as the KASP's design.

I was a little dubious about ordering this due to some reviews saying it had broken quite quickly but I’m very glad I ordered it as it’s been used several times a day for a couple of months and no problems at all.

Arrived prompt and well packaged. Very substantial and appears very well constructed. Why 4 Stars? The shackle is too small for the lock size in that you really want to pair it with an equally substantial chain but the shackle cannot accommodate one and makes releasing/engaging the lock a pain.

The best I found so far and I have gone through 6 of different kinds in the past year.

The number wheels are just as wobbly and loose as locks costing 1/10 as much. I expected smooth and tight operation of the number wheels for this kind of money.

El candado parece fuerte, y posiblemente mientras está cerrado lo sea. Pero la union del arco al cuerpo es muy debil y al forzarlo un poco (mientras estaba abierto) se partio.
