This is a very useful tool to check for deeper moisture, especially when you don’t want to ruin your nail varnish by finger testing very gritty soil. I really like it to use alongside other ways of checking- I don’t rely on it completely, but it’s helpful.

Lovely looking 3 in 1 soil meter, which measures the moisture content, sunlight Intensity and soil pH Level,Insert the sensor probes into the soil for easy display readings.I used this for my indoor plant and then added more water the Moisture reading moved from very dry to medium.Overall, working as expected and looks beautiful.Very satisfied!

Unfortunalely none of the features work.

I’ve had limited success with this meter. Never having used one before I wasn’t sure what to expect, and the absence of any instructions in the box didn’t help matters so my only source of information has been the advert on this website. It seems that the probes are to be inserted carefully into soil 2-4 inches deep and not left there permanently. There is a tiny solar sensor on the front and that does indicate light levels, though if it’s bright enough to make the meter deflect then you’d certainly be able to see that anyway. The moisture and PH levels of all of my plants’ soil seems to be the same as there’s little variation between any of them. Overall I’m not convinced that this is a useful item.
