This connector is over kill for my speaker project, but it is fun that I feel like I'm plugging in a tesla charger! I did not pay attention to the wire gauge of this connector so I had to wrap some electrical tape around the 16 gauge wire so it would tighten down on it and seal it up good. And for this project I did remove one of the waterproof seals, yes there is two seals inside of the connector. It is a good quality product, feels heavy duty. I had to solder and unsolder the wires 3 times because I forgot to put the nut on then the rubber cover on. But even with all the heat from soldering the plactic didn't melt or burn. Turned out great.

Using this to get power from inside a case, to outside while maintaining water tight connections. This works fantastic in rain and snow, ensuring the case stays tight and the leads cannot get wet. Good buy.

Very high quality. Used it on Race car steering wheel buttons quick disconnect. Soldering was not easy in such a small area but got it done with patience. Very nice and feel robust. Will purchase a few to store in case can’t find in future!

Connector seems to be good and will work for my application and probably what you originally planned it for. But in the pictures, it shows the latching type where you press on it to unhook and it can disconnect. Mine is a twist to lock/unlock instead of the hooking one. Again should work for what you planned it but got something a bit different from the pictures. Also the housing on mine is all metal. From the pictures it looks like the housing on the latching hook might be plastic so theres one plus.

I've soldered up a few of these now and I will say they are pretty nice. You can take them apart so you can solder the pins much easier. The quality is solid and something I would expect in a high-end application. I used these for the control boxes on my Mill and lathe. They will do the job quite swimmingly.

My mother in law needed her cart but her batteries were 0.3 volts each. They were both 12 volt batteries. Found that the factory charger did not work, so I decided to use this and run the wires directly to the 12 volt battery. After install, it looks great, hardware works great for it and no complaints.
