I have hypothyroidism and have struggled with dry scalp my whole life because of. We moved here last year after living in a house with water filtration for 8 years to hard water. The hard water worsens my hair, the breakage is worse, it get oily faster and when washed the ends are overwhelmingly dry while the scalp gets oily quickly. Nothing has helped with the dry scalp but this scrub has done the trick. It will strip your hair of everything so shampoo is not necessary but conditioner is. My scalp is the clearest it has been my whole life and my hair is shiny and silky. I use Wow apple cider vinegar shampoo and conditioner as well, as I stated the shampoo isn't really necessary anymore but the conditioner still matches well with the scent. I will say the salt does make the vinegar scent more intense but your hair doesn't hold it. I gave it 4 stars because there really isn't enough especially for the amount you're spending. In my situation I've had to use this once a week so actually ended up putting some of my shampoo in it to make it last longer since they have similar ingredients. Thinking on getting some Himalayan salt to add to the next purchase when it runs low.

This stuff is like gold for your hair! I have a very oily scalp that is occasionally itchy with very dry & thin hair. I have struggled my whole life to have healthy looking hair and I’ve always fallen short with products. Upon researching countless beauty blogs and advice for people with my scalp type, I came across this ACV scalp scrub. I’ve used a lot of different products to maintain my hair health however, this is one of the best products I’ve ever come across! First off, yes, it does stink but it’s apple cider vinegar! Honestly, when I opened the jar for the first time, it reminded me of the salt and vinegar chips I used to eat all the time as a kid so I wasn’t mad about it but do expect a strong smell at first. Do know though, that smell goes away once you rinse the product out of your hair. This product is intended to be used on the scalp only. You’ll want to dip your fingers in and take a scoop and rub it vigorously (but not too aggressively) on your scalp. Do not run this through your hair, it’s a pain to get out and is meant only to be used on the scalp itself. Once you get a good amount on your scalp and feel like you got a good exfoliation going, I let it sit in for an additional minute or two and then rinse. This will make your hair feel dry however, it also makes your hair super shiny and it feels so clean! This product can be very drying so I use it only 2x a month (every other week) and I shampoo and condition after my scrub (my hair can handle it; if the product is too drying for your hair, you can get away with washing the next day). It also has taken away the itch of my scalp. This product is a great added step in your journey to healthy, shiny hair.

This stuff is wonderful. Relieved my itchy scalp, left my hair super clean and soft, made my scalp feel amazing. Removed all product residue and left hair and scalp refreshed and renewed! Great purchase! Love!

A friend recommended this to me, and I bought it with the ACV rinse that this brand sells as well. This product does get out all the crap you don’t realize is in your hair. HOWEVER. it then turns into the crap in your hair and it’s very hard to rinse out (especially if you have thick hair like me). I have to put my shower head on the jet setting and the pressure still isn’t strong enough to rinse out the salt bits and residue from the scrub. You’ll know if you missed some because it will cake in your nails even after you rinse your hair. I had to rinse for about 15 mins and then ended up shampooing over the product just to get it out. Maybe good for a once a month cleanse but too much work to do more than that

Ya’ll, I have been fighting with my scalp since I was born and nothing has worked. I’ve tried head and shoulders, Selsen blue, tea tree shampoo, scalp oil treatment, and even custom shampoo. None of those worked. The closest I ever got was with Hask tea tree shampoo but even then my head would get itchy after a few days. You could literally see the flakes in my scalp. It was so bad all the time. Recently I started this scalp mask kick thinking that could help me out a little when I stumbled on this. Now don’t get me wrong, this smells straight up like apple cidar vinegar, it reeks of it, but I was sold after one wash. My scalp is still a little itchy but after TWO washes I have no more flakes for the first time in my life!! I also highly recommend pairing this with the shampoo. And on top of it all my hair is so so soft and so shiny now! Side note: I love braiding my hair but before I used this shampoo, my hair used to be too fluffy and slippery to braid it the day after I washed my hair but this is no longer the case, 11/10. Disclaimer: I have natural hair and therefore cannot attest to its color saving abilities

I have used this scrub twice now. It has a strong smell and you definitely don't want to get it in your eyes. It is easy to rub into your hair and scalp. I definitely recommend getting the rinse from the same company. It is difficult to get out using just shampoo. I like what it is doing to help heal my scalp though. I did not experience any over drying of my hair or scalp. This product is intended to be used only every couple of weeks.

Amazing product! I just wish it was less pricier.
