It worked fine

What a glitch, I bought this due to my old screen getting a crack in it. Was hoping it would be a decent purchase. Had it professionally installed for a good $110. Also the screen I got is not the same as the one depicted. The one I got has a black line going around the entirety of the screen cutting off a decent amount of it along with a large black glob around where the camera is supposed to be. Instead of it being clear and such as it is depicted and how the original screen was. Within the first hour I was having glitches. There are many but a few keep recurring. 1st is sticky fingering, for lack of a better description. When trying to type it is most prevolent, pressing a key for too long even though I just clicked it. 2nd is that the screen keeps glitching, i.e. it will after 10 minutes of use (yes 10 minutes) it will ether fade to black with green pixelation on the bottom, do a weird thing where everything shifts to yellows and greens, (toxic waste yellow and green), and a few other things. The more annoying thing about this is if I turn the screen off via quick sleep mode then turn it back on it will be fixed. 3rd, the finger print scanner is not working. It worked for the first few hours I had gotten it replaced, but now it is not even doing that. Exceedingly disappointed.

Works perfectly. Install process is definitely not for everyone, it takes steady hands and patience but works like a gem after installing! Everything you need is included in the kit but I’d recommend buying some actual adhesive separate as it only comes with adhesive strips and those were kind of a pain in the butt to work with but overall 5 stars, thanks guys saved me $150!

Very glitchy, phone does not recognize touch.

Wish I paid a little more for OEM but I was in a rush and this was available via prime. Not as good as the original, colors are off, and glitches: as another reviewer noted, "Occasionally changes to a solid color and you have to lock and unlock the screen to get back to the app you were using." Also it will suddenly lock, like it just did I was writing this review haha. I just hope it lasts as long as the rest of the phone but worried it won't. Ifixit sells OEM for same $

It was OK, the smartphone has a new screen!

Please do not purchase this product. It does not have the fingerprint sensor (a minor inconvenience but should be available at this price point) and the screen turns a solid color while using it and you have to lock and unlock the screen to get back to what you were doing. And now, barely a week after getting it, the screen on my phone has gone completely black and does not respond to touch. Based on my experience, this is not a good product.

I needed a screen replacement in a hurry so this filled that requirement. I suspected the kit did not contain the adhesive since it was not listed, but I was very surprised it did not have the fingerprint sensor included. I have a stereo microscope and was able to successfully remove the old sensor and install it on the new screen, a very difficult operation... I also bought a roll of 2mm wide electronic mounting tape, so at least I had hedged against the missing adhesive. The kit did contain a nice credit card sized plastic tool which helped get the old screen off and it also came with a screen protector sheet, a plus. In contrast, the ifixit part comes with everything you need and the sensor, just takes a little longer to get one and I could not wait. In the end it all worked out, just a riskier repair...
