Good place to start if you’re already a fan
This is a good collection of stories that contribute to the world of Cyberpunk 2077. My only issue was my lack of knowledge. Even playing through the game there are some interesting situations that can be understood by a person who played the game but even better if you know the paper and pencil aspects. The stories are not as clear as they first appeared I had to read it multiple times to grasp fully. I ordered books about the world and when they come I will read them and then this again. If you like cyberpunk in general and want a good graphic novel then here is a good one. With this the netflix anime and already existing world this adds to actually adding more of a look into the world and how people live. The art and extras in the book also re-enforce the art style and concept CD/Project red created a good first impression. I have recently been re-reading and educating myself on cyberpunk genre again. One thing that I did like is the nod’s to the William Gibson it is one thing to build on a genre but it’s another thing to incorporate books that shape the world of cyberpunk fiction. For modern fans a good addition to your collection for me a good look at how the genre is evolving and changing. Once I have re-read this again I will change some of my review. Bottom line good book if you like cyberpunk, comics, or just dystopian future fiction. One thing this book did was make me revisit the variations of the Deus Ex universe and this one. In this series chrome is chrome but in Deus Ex it is a augmentation a poisonous gift and augmented main characters reflect some aspects of a angel or supernatural entity. One also uses the psychology of what is it to be human and once over augmented the reality of cyber psychosis. In Deus Ex it is once augmented we are slaves and need medicine to survive. In the end they both ask what is it to be human and as we become more machine do we become less human and inhumane. One of the stories is pretty heavy and it forces that question on them in a way. Good complimentary piece of a universe I am revisiting this genre from 1968 to everything in between to 2025. Shadow Runner is the only thing that scares me since AI are like gods that Bartmoss released are the actual gods referenced in shadow runner comparable. I do have a good compliment about this book once you read it you will have a great sense of the universe and can understand how to write fan fiction. I have done just that since reading do androids dream of electric sheep I have had the urge to write a story in a cyberpunk universe of my own making. Ghost in the shell is about the most difficult thing to compare the game has homages but not this yet. The art is detailed and reading everything may uncover some interesting elements but man use a wiki. If you are a fan then you should be fine. As for me I am going to learn more the book is expensive but it is the library edition. This and two other books are the best things to get for expanding the world or in preparation for the board game. I like the book and the nueromancer reference has me buying updated copies of Gibson’s collection so yes I recommend it but not to everyone some will think it’s not worth it but if you like cyberpunk 2077 or other this is a good buy.

Can't wait for the next instalment!
Increased my respect and love for the Cyberpunk genre even more. Trauma Team in particular is a literary masterclass. You Have My Word gets into the heart of Night City and trust and has you questioning your own alliances with brilliant twists, confirming why there can be no happy endings, here, wrong city wrong people. Blackout then slaps you in the face with honest optimism and therapy and goodness and a genuinely likeable actual protagonist. And your stomach continuously churns because you know he can't win, can he, an underdog? Can he outwit the city?
