It's just a basic step ladder, but it is unusual to get an all-metal product at this price. The ladder folds flat and fits well into a closet or narrow space. It flips open easily and stands firm without any wobbles. The rubber feet won't slip on tiles or other smooth surfaces. It has some weight, but that makes it more stable. The grab handle is a nice feature that adds to stability and security. I recommend this ladder over the flimsy plastic ladders and stools. Don't risk a fall by standing on a chair. Use this proper step ladder. At this price, it's a no-brainer.

I needed to do some minor repairs and painting on my ceiling, but I didn't have a tall enough ladder. I checked at Home Depot first, and the prices were more than I wanted to pay. So, of course, I went to Amazon, my go-to website, to check out the prices of step ladders.I found just the right one for my needs. This ladder is of steel construction, fully assembled (yeah!!) with the added feature of a safety lock. It can also be used for extra shelving if need be.The design is perfect----lightweight, with wide steps, handrails and rubber tips for the feet. I felt the X shape at the back of the ladder would add extra stability since I would be using it on carpet.It does not take up much storage space, and I appreciated the ease of setting it up and carrying it. I only weigh 95 lbs so I needed a ladder that I could maneuver easily.It was perfect getting my repairs and painting done.The only slight disadvantage was that it did not have an attached shelf to put your paint tray, brushes etc. But it was not a deal breaker. I managed quite well without it.I highly recommend this step ladder for all those DIY kind of women out there who want their work to be less of a chore and still feel safe using it.

An ok ladder. Good sturdiness, durability, and value for money. Good width, easy to climb, easy to open and close. Good appearance and portability. I wish each step were larger. I bought it for my toddler to be able to reach the kitchen counters but because his whole foot does not fit on the steps, we had to use it for other purposes.

Got this for my daughter. She is short! Needed 4 steps. This is easy open, easy close and folds up nicely to fit in the narrow spot between the kitchen cabinets and the refrigerator. I recommend

This is a lightweight, folding step ladder, for occasional use. I use mine about once a week to water plants atop a cupboard. (I currently weigh about 230lbs, and I’m not concerned it will collapse under me. On the other hand, it doesn’t fill me with confidence either!)My main complaint is the same made by many others. Namely, the feet slide too easily on smooth floors. If you have vinyl, tile, polished wood, etc., please be careful! Steady yourself and the ladder by holding onto something permanent. I tried roughing the feet with a file, but it doesn’t seem to have helped much. Maybe I should try a rougher file?!! Either that, or securely attach some heavy duty rubber furniture floor protectors to the bottoms.If you’re looking for a long lasting, heavy duty stepladder – this is *not* the one for you.***UPDATE***After thinking it over, I realized I’m tempting fate each time I use this ladder. Eventually it’s going to slip, and I may get seriously hurt. Is it worth saving a few bucks? In my mind, no. My income is limited solely to Social Security retirement. This seemed like a good decision at the time, but now that I’ve used the ladder repeatedly, I realize I was wrong. I need to replace it with a much sturdier one, even if I have to pay two or three times as much. This cheap, flimsy thing just isn’t worth the risks.

the ladder was easy to open and lock. It is easy to carry around my kitchen area to get to the top cabinets. I do have a hard time closing it, so I leave the ladder open at all times.
