No. These batteries are typically rated at about 4 to 5 amps, so at 2 amps you'd get 2 or so hours before the battery was flat.

Q: Will this fit inside a roberts r250? and if so, does it need to be removed before plugging the radio into the mains?

I use mine in a Roberts, but never plug into the mains, so don't know. Sorry.

Q: Does this battery work in an old 1960s bush radio?

Don’t see why not, as long as the voltage is the same. We use it in a Roberts Radio of the 60’s/70’s
