I bought this product earlier this year to use after I had my knee op & was on crutches so I could carry hot & cold drinks in a bag around my neck from kitchen to lounge. It looks good & the stainless steel inside keeps the contents either hot or cold. There is no after taste if you ensure you follow instructions to give it a good soapy wash before use. It is easy to hold & drink from though I prefer to take the lid off. The one drawback found is the lid & specifically the closing mechanism to either drink or not. As others have observed it doesn't stay closed which I found out the first couple of times of use where I had a wet bag from leakage. Solved that by having to wrap it in a tea towel. That's my solution but anyone wanting to carry it in a back pack or any other receptacle would find that very annoying. If the manufacturer could solve that small problem they would end up up with a 5☆ product at a very competitive price. It's helping me carry my morning tea each morning & keeping it hot so I'm happy.

The negative reviews appear to be accurate on this product. I can honestly say this is not fit for purpose & just emailed Thermos directly. I only want a DESK cup, not for hiking, jogging climbing mountains or chucking in a bag or rolling around the boot of a car. Hence why I went for this option. I got a few days use out of it. Slider on lid doesn’t work. I can only drink from this cup without the lid. Condensation builds up between plastic & inner casing. I have to say, my last cheap travel mug would stay hot for half a day. This thermos cup does not hold the heat very well. Now in recycling heaven - let’s hope they don’t upcycle to make another one!

Looks the part and the Thermos name suggests it's quality item. However, thd top is easily knocked off and the slide flap for drinking is pretty useless after a couple of weeks. It wont kero ur drik warm for hours! The whole thing feels, well, cheap made in China rather than the Thermos Quality I was expecting? ;(

Does spill if it's tipped over. Doesn't keep coffee hot for long periods, but I want that as I usually make a cup and drink as I'm going so cooling down quickly helps. Handle can get in the way and the main body doesn't get hot so tend to use that. Dropped one and the handle broke so bought another so it must be pretty good?! Not dishwasher safe as a soft bit on the bottom.
