Simply the best seeds available!
The headline says it all. Let me state that I'm not getting paid or any type of coupons or anything for my comments. This is just one person's opinion. These seeds are the best. I have been eating sunflower seeds for many years. When I take a road trip seeds and caffeine keep me alert. The problem with typical seeds is that they make my tongue and cheek raw. It is the massive amounts of sodium that cause this problem and also create health issues like water retention and high blood pressure. The first time I tried these I was traveling and stopped on the Kansas Turnpike (I-35) to grab some seeds and caffeine. I made such a big deal to my wife about the sodium content in the Chinook seeds. I may have even stated that they probably won't taste as good. I have never been so happy to be so wrong. These seeds taste delicious. They do not make my mouth raw because of the low sodium content. Just yesterday, we were coming back from a 700 mile drive and we stopped at a gas station to fill up. We had forgotten the seeds at the house and I found some. I was so happy that I bought every bag of the Parmesan & Pepper that they had.I have sent these to my daughter and she loves them as well. Obviously, not everyone has the same tasted but Chinook offers multiple flavors. My favorite are the Parmesan & Pepper. Please give these a try and if you like them start asking your grocer or favorite gas station if they can order them. That will help us all out.

Hey, what happened?
I discovered the dill pickle flavored seeds in a specialty grocery store in Santa Barbara a few years back. The original flavor was strong and distinct, but also didn't leave me feeling like I'd consumed a salt lick. When I couldn't find this flavor of seeds in the stores where I live, I ordered them several times from Amazon. They were consistently great until this most recent batch. All the flavor is gone. The dill pickle mostly taste like regular salted seeds. Also there seems to be a higher proportion of over cooked / bitter seeds. I am upset that the quality has declined since they really were fun to eat. It seems like other reviewers experienced this too, and that some batches may still be good. I'd be willing to reorder if I had an assurance the quality was back on point.

Love the low sodium but not the sugar
I ordered every flavor except original and the 2 dairy flavors--jalapeño ranch, parmesean & pepper--due to my lactose intolerance. My hands down favorite is dill pickle. Lightly salted but well seasoned and perfect for someone like me who will eat an entire 4oz bag in one sitting. My runner up, surprisingly, is cinnamon toast. Which has a nice salty note I wasn't expecting and truly is reminiscent of buttery cinnamon toast. From now on, those will be the 2 flavors I order for myself. My teenaged son is a fan of the hatch chile. He commandeered the entire box of 12 bags, once we opened and tasted the first bag of hatch chile. LoL I happily obliged since, like all the remaining flavors that weren't among my 2 aforementioned favorites, are too sugar forward for my liking. (I'm a salt (and hot & spicy) person. Never really been a fan of sweet. So even though the sugar maybe admissible for most folks, the sweetness stood out too much to me.)The lemon pepper definitely tastes like a well-balanced marinade that would be cooked with...as opposed to an outright lemony-peppery bite. I'm not a lemon pepper fan at all, so I wasn't expecting to like the flavor but was pleasantly surprised by Chinook's lemon pepper season blend; and I think it could be a winner for anyone who isn't seeking a heavily polar lemon or pepper taste. The smokehouse bbq isn't bad but bcz of the sweet front note is not for me.Between Amazon and chinookseedery.com, I spent quite a bit on my first delve into Chinook seeds; and though, of 5 flavors, 2 were a total bust for me due to the sweetness I could taste in the flavors:The quality of not only the seeds but the ingredients is apparent AND well worth the money.I gave away all the lemon pepper and smokehouse bbq I purchased. Which works out well since I'm sure Chinook will have some new customers as a result...lolThese seeds are superior. And they are *not* over-salted while simultaneously managing well-balanced, full, satisfying flavors. You've just gotta find your flavor!Highly recommend and will buy again.

I don't get it
I was hyped to try these based off reviews and these are honestly the most bland and tasteless seeds I have ever tried. Good thing I bought a case of them so they can sit in my cupboard for 100 years.

Awesome seeds, great flavors.
First found these seeds at a local gas station and then sought them out online. I have tried the parm and pepper, hatch, and cinnamon toast. Parm is great, hatch is very good, and cinnamon toast is a bit of a miss but good at times. The cinnamon I had was rather inconsistent as some seeds tasted like cinnamon toast and others just tasted kinda like buttered toast... All in all though, great product as 1 out of 3 flavors being ok, but certainly not bad, is pretty good. Seeds are large, salt amount is just right as I've chewed through three bags in about 2.5 days and don't have any tongue or mouth soreness. I'm sure the other flavors will be great as they are more traditional seed flavors, but figured that trying the crazier ones and giving feedback was more useful for potential buyers. Give them a try, I think you'll be very pleased.
