These are more effective for icing injuries than ice bags. A lot more effective in less time. I had no trouble getting it out of the lower cup, after holding in my hand about 2 minutes it slid right out. I use a thick towel folded into quarters to catch the drips right under the areas to be iced.It is large enough to use over larger areas such as legs but small enough to use on the face if you wanted to. I needed it for my lower leg sprain.Be sure to seat the upper ring firmly into the bottom cup, and fill to at least a quarter of an inch above the prongs in the ring.Such a simple design, I'd buy these again.

Product works as expected. I've been using it twice a day for my achilles tendon area. Easy to refill and use. Appreciate that it's a two pack and comes with little cloths for the drips. I'm knocking off one star only because the product needs some sort of catch basin because as soon as the ice starts to melt, water starts to drip all over hand, floor. I make sure there is a big towel underneath the area that I will be icing. Also, when taking out of the freezer put the whole ice cup in a Ramekin and give it a few minutes to defrost a little otherwise it will be challenging trying to separate the ice grip and the freezer cup. If you are considering this product I recommend it. Will make a great gift as well!
