EAST OAK Outdoor Storage Box, 230 Gallon Deck Box Lockable Large Outdoor Container for Patio Furniture Cushions, Garden Tools Accessories, Waterproof and UV Resistant, Grey

I purchased this item about 5 months ago to store my outdoor furniture cushions when not in use. I have a huge furniture (8 seat cushion, 6 back cushions, and 2 arm cushions). All 8 seat cushions (about 2'x2') and 4 back cushions fit comfortably without being squished. To accommodate the last few cushions I later purchased the matching 60 gallon storage box.The resin material was solid and was easy to put together. The gray color also looks amazing on my deck!I did encounter a small issue: the corner of the lid split. I emailed East Oak customer service and explained that no trauma occurred to cause the split and although it is outside, we don't have extreme temperatures. A rep from customer service got right back to me and did send me a replacement lid, which was easy enough to change on a warm day.I am extremely happy and satisfied with this storage box. I've had it for about 5 months now and my cushions are always dry, clean and bug free, even though we have had some nasty storms.Another little perk is that it is lockable. It came with a small padlock which I keep locked to secure the lid so that it doesn't blow open and to keep the local wildlife (raccoons and cats) off my cushions.

I was pleasantly surprised at how easily this storage unit went together and looks really nice and up scale! I was holding my breathe at how these storage units (I ordered 2 different sizes) were going to assemble and the quality of appearance & function once assembled, but was delighted at the finished product! The assembly directions were pretty clear, although they could have been better with pics of wrong vs right pics of each step. But overall my non-mechanically adept husband and I were able to put these together with only a couple minor re-does. They only thing I might stress to purchasers is that the place you are going to put these storage units needs to be level ground or the units will not close evenly. The hydraulics in the lid is wonderful & works perfectly but you must always open & close the lid from the center of the lid or I can see potential future alignment problems arising from lifting & closing from the ends. Overall, I’m really pleased with the functionality and appearance of this brand of storage units!

Received the 230 gallon deck box and assembled it today. First off, this isn't a job for one person, two people make it a lot easier. With that being said, it took a good hour to put it together. The instructions were EXCELLENT and if you read them carefully, pretty simple to assemble, all you need is a Phillips screwdriver and perhaps a rubber mallet. My wife and I had Zero "Do-Overs." Once assembled this thing is BIG, but that is what we wanted to store our RV Accesories. We read and looked at several deck boxes, and even though this one was not the least expensive, we opted for it. Everything went together very smoothly with no missing parts and everything fit as it should. I am really glad we made this decision as this deck box is Built Like A Tank! I would highly recommend it if you need a large deck box.

The media could not be loaded.  It’s a lockable box with ample of storage space. The lid comes with two hydraulic lift to maintain its lid open while in use and to have smoother closing motion. Assembly is relatively simple with included installation instruction booklet inside. The only tool you’ll need is a screwdriver. Assembling this box is quite satisfying when the panel corners snap perfectly when connected to each other. This storage box is reasonably priced considering its great quality and functionality. I’d say it’s a good investment especially if you have extra space on your backyard or patio that you could use as extra storage.

The EAST OAK 230 Gallon Large Deck Box, arrived on time. Packaging is a bit bulky for one person to "easily" handle. The assembly was fast and EASY (reading is required). I am very happy with the look and the quality of this box. I knew we had some severe thunderstorms coming our way. So, I put just 2 older cushions in the box to see if it really was waterproof. Well, it poured on and off for a few days. I checked inside the box and it was totally dry. I would recommend this unit.

This was so easy to put together, our little kids helped. It was first just lining up the sides and popping them into place. Then screwing in the corner pieces and then the hinge/spring on the lid. Instructions were great, plenty of screws and all the same size which made it much easier to not worry about different bags and if you had all the screws you needed. Fit 9 square cushions, 7 back pillow cushions and 3 decorative skinny long pillows. Everything fit! I put a brick on the top as the pillow cushion was lifting it a little so just needs to settle and get the air out.

The big plastic tabs holding the box together makes it sturdy. I worry about the small screws into plastic for the corner brackets and locking hardware are somewhat lacking. Not for storing anything of value. If you use an electric drill on the screws use the lowest torque setting. Only need a second helper to hold side 1 up while snapping the 2nd side onto the bottom.
