Review: Best midrange smartwatch - I have had this watch for a few months at this point. I have used a ton of different cheaper watches, and the accompanying apps. This one by far is beyond the others. First the watch faces are customizable you can use a large variety of free ones, you can purchase more in the app or you can use the custom watch face builder to create your own. The tracking of everything works well. I don't use any of the paid services, but there is plenty of information available for someone who is mildly interested in tracking sleep quality, steps, exercise, water consumption, activity levels, etc. More importantly for me, it sends me notifications, answers calls, has voice assistant, and tracks all of the above. It stays charged for an entire workweek. I charge it on my day off when I am just relaxing, then I am good to wear it consistently for the next week. I have eyed the pixel watch on and off, but the darn higher end watches don't stay charged long enough. So if you are not looking for a doctor on your wrist that gives perfectly accurate data this is a good choice. It seems pretty accurate for what I use it for, and I don't base medical decisions off the data, other than maybe saying I don't think I am getting enough sleep sometimes. If the pixel watch eventually can match battery life might try that out someday, but until then this is the brand for me. Oh and unlike all the other cheaper ones, this app stays connected and reconnects when it is back in range, I never lose my sleep or steps data because I forgot to link the app at exactly 11:59 at night, or ever. The only time I don't get data is when I am not wearing the watch. ***update April 2025*** This watch is still working fantastically. I work in a commercial kitchen, I am sometimes elbow deep in a sink full of dishes or covered to my elbows in degreaser, oil, sanitizer, or food of some sort. When I am just prepping food I will usually pull my glove up over the watch, but otherwise it is exposed to the abuse of the elements in the kitchen. Most of the watches I have used before seem to fall apart after a few months in the kitchen. I think some of the chemicals we use dissolve the glue that holds the face to the body of the watch. This one still looks brand new. There is a warning somewhere in the instructions to not expose this to prolonged hot water, the thing is I can't stop what I am doing to take my watch off, so I had resigned myself to just purchasing new watches when the old one broke. And if this one eventually falls apart I will replace it with the newest model of the exact same watch. The app for this watch just works. It tries to sell me upgrades every couple weeks but they aren't necessary to keep track of steps or sleep or anything else really. It still connects automatically whenever in range of my phone, and I do not have to think about it at all. I can ignore the app for weeks at a time and still go back and look at the data whenever I want. And when I am feeling like I want something new I just switch out the band. It is so nice to be able to view my messages when I am elbow deep in a giant batch of bread. For me this watch takes the abuse that I never expected it to, I have given up on the more expensive brands... They are never going to compare especially when it comes to battery life. ***august 2025**** Last update because I think the point has been made. This watch is still working exactly as it should. I still wear it for four to six days without charging or removing, I charge it on my first day off work, then the only other time I remove it is when I get in the shower, then I jut put it right back on after I have toweled dry. I have come to expect this watch to always be there. It has become a tool that I use always. I use the weather app, check steps, sometimes check sleep, time and date, and notifications. I still don't even use this to it's full potential. There are so many other little things like the stress monitor, heart health, it has a built into the app nutritional info. It has a training template so you can track reps. There are sooo many widgets and measurements it is easily personalized for the individual. Fantastic smart watch.
Review: Just what I was looking for. - I own a Fitbit Sense, Samsung Galaxy Active2, and Amazfit GTS 4 Mini, and curiously, I liked the Amazfit watch the best. The Amazfit GTS 4 Mini has more features than I need, long battery life, while not being bulky. My Sense and Active 2 needed to be charged every few days which seemed to be a pain to me. When do you charge, at night and you lose sleep tracking? During the day, and you lose the activity tracking? I like the Sense, but the frequent charging issue had me looking for an alternative. The Samsung Galaxy Active 2 is very bulky, and recently, after limited use, the screen started to separate from the bezel, and I could see the glue. Called Samsung, who basically said I was SOOL. No Samsung, you are SOOL, because I will never buy another one of your watches. I received the Amazfit GTS 4 Mini was a gift from my daughter a few months ago and I liked it so much so, that I purchased a second, the GTR Mini. I had considered the full GTR 4, but after comparing the two, the Mini afforded me all the features I needed, minus the ability to answer and make calls, but truthfully, if I need my phone to be with me to use this feature, I mine as well just use the phone. The GTR Mini is as lightweight and thin as the GTS 4 Mini, that I often forget that I'm wearing it. I also like the fact that I can store my gym membership and loyalty store cards on it. My gym started doing away with the cards, which means once the card has worn out, I'd have to bring my phone into the gym, and a) don't want to risk damaging my phone during my workouts and b) don't want to be one of those annoying members on their phone when someone else is looking to use the equipment. The price point of the Amazfit GTR Mini makes the watch a no-brainer. Hopefully you find my review helpful.

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ I would buy this again! But I'd buy a protective cover with it (only con is how easily it scratches)
*by H***A on December 9, 2023*

I bought this smart watch and it arrived approximately a week ago. I was sick the first few days so didn't do much movement until the last 3 days. The watch is fantastic. I'm coming from a fitbit and the battery life on this particular watch is incredible. I'm just testing it out to see how the battery life lasts so I have everything on. It started at 85% and now 6 days later I'm at 26%. That's with every possible battery draining option turned on. Amazing. The size of this watch is perfect for me. I have small wrists and so I was wary about getting a watch that would extend past my wrist and look silly. This is the perfect size for me. (Female, mid 30's, athletic build). The various options to track seem to be on point. The step count is in range to what my fitbit watch would indicate. Since my fitbit broke I am unable to wear both at once to confirm, but it does seem within the same range. I appreciate the sleep options and all of the other options that don't require a subscription. I'm so sick of subscriptions and paying extra for things on top of the product itself. This does not force me to do that. There is an option to purchase some aura app, but I moved it to the disable screen and it doesn't pop up. Perfection. There are apps you can purchase to utilize on your watch. Some are free and some are not. But they are additional add-ons and aren't required to operate the watch as advertised. As a coach I am thankful for the free app that allows me to keep score of the games as well as the stopwatch and timer options. Those are invaluable to me. I can see the watch face in bright light or darkness, and that was my issue with the fitbit. I was unable to see the fitbit during the day once the battery started getting weaker. This watch appears to provide the same intensity regardless of battery strength/charge. For the clock faces, I can customize the background image to images I've captured, or something from the internet, or utilize the options provided by the company. For what is shown on the home screen, there are a number of different free options available which should suit most people's needs and wants. Some of the options allow you to change the smaller detailed data (such as changing steps to calories, etc.). Make sure to mess around with the watch faces to customize to your liking. Of course there are some watch faces that cost money, but it's a one time small purchase (like $1.99) to purchase those. However, it's really not necessary since I believe the free options should suit the majority of people's needs. Cons: my only con so far is that the watch face scratches quite easily. Like, way too easily. Make sure to buy a cover for the face so that this doesn't happen to you. I've only worn it a few days and the scratches are very noticeable. I'm hoping to find a solution for the scratches and already purchased a cover for the watch (delivered overnight bc I can't risk more damage to the watch face).
