I bought this Milliard Tri Folding Memory Foam Mattress with Washable Cover Queen (78 inches x 58 inches x 6 inches) so my adult son and his girlfriend wouldn't have to sleep on an air mattress while they are staying with us for a while. There was no noticeable odor when we opened the mattress, which is good for me because I am sensitive to smells. It took about 2 days to get to it's full fluff as expected. I haven't slept on the mattress, but I laid on in for a little while and it seemed comfy to me. I like how it folds up out of the way. :) My son and his girlfriend have been using the mattress for a little over a week now and they haven't complained. They started out with the mattress on our laminate floor. Before I bought this, I had read some comments about feeling the gaps between the sections of the mattress, so I asked them about it. They said if you have a smooth floor you may notice the mattress slipping and pulling apart so the gaps are more noticeable. My son and his girlfriend noticed it a little at first, but they got used to it and didn't notice it after they had been laying on it a while. They also noticed that if the mattress is on top of something that isn't slippery, like maybe carpet or in their case the suade-like top of an air mattress, the mattress won't slip apart as much. My son's girlfriend said the mattress is comfy, however she felt a little like she sank into it and could tell she was close to the floor when it was on the floor. My son thinks the mattress is comfy as well. They both like the mattress better on top of a raised queen air mattress, just for height since we don't have a bed frame, but they also both agreed it is better to sleep on this folding mattress long term than on just an air mattress. So far, this purchase has been well worth the cost, as it is serving its purpose well. My son is working from home and this is perfect for two adults to sleep on at night, then he can fold it away so he can use the space for his office during the day. :) I also bought a Milliard Carry Case for Tri-Fold Mattress, Fits up to 6 inch Queen (58 inches x 26 inches x 18 inches) storage bag to go along with this mattress but I haven't opened it to review it at this time. I will try to give an update when I do. I like the idea of being able to put the mattress away when not in use and having it protected from getting dusty. :) I hope this helps. Update 9/12/20 - The mattress case fits perfectly and is easy to use. It is easy to open up all the way then fold the mattress and set it on top and zip the cover. You can even keep a basic mattress cover on the mattress when storing it away. My 78 year old mom slept on the folding mattress on top of a raised air mattress so it would be easier for her to get on and off the bed. It worked really well and she said it was comfortable for her. I would recommend this mattress and case to others. Thank you.

I had more trouble moving the topper for this mattress than the actual mattress. I was moving and I simply folded this mattress up and shoved it in the back seat of my regular four door Sudan. I had to smush it a bit to get the door to close. But I was amazed. The mattress is almost as impressive as a regular tempurpedic. Although I have been using it now without the topper directly on the floor (for now) and I notice the breaks in the mattress. But if I had it on top of a box spring or something of the sort I think I would not notice it is foldable. A few days ago I realized I could fold up the mattress and use it comfortably as a sofa. I ordered a triangular “headboard pillow for queen bed”. I will not even need any kind of futon frame for it. I would just fold the mattress with fitted sheet on and throw the quilt over it. Then set the headboard pillow on top of it and it should be the perfect sofa! I sat on the folded mattress and it feels great to sit on. All it needs is the back rest. Which is the triangular headboard pillow. I also ordered an 18 inch height foldable metal frame IN WHITE from eBay since Amazon does not seem to have a good selection on WHITE foldable metal frames. I need a high bed because I have a parrot that sleeps in the room with me and if my bed is close to the floor, she will get all her food all over my bed because she is a messy eater. One major selling point of this mattress is that it has some sort of guarantee that it does not have hazardous chemicals. I get tachycardia when I am exposed to the old school flame retardant. I slept on the floor for a very long time until studies and documentaries and laws came out showing how harmful those chemicals are and how they were actually killing more people in fires and how the cigarette companies had been the ones that came up with the enforcement on these chemicals in order to blame furniture and not cigarettes for household fires. I can certify that this mattress does not have flame retardant as my heart would have been giving me trouble by now if it had those harmful chemicals. Additionally, I was able to save a lot of $$ not having to get moving van to move my mattress. Therefore, the extra price for being foldable has already paid off! I want to get the carrying case for it now. Finally, it appears I don’t snore as much with this mattress and I am able to do without the sleep apnea machine. That thing drives me nuts, so I am very happy I am not waking up constantly because I’m not breathing/snoring. I have a very large chest (I’m a K cup) and I can sleep on my back or on my stomach on this bed without having common problems I have with most regular beds such as spring mattresses. Normally the weight makes my back sink in deeper in the middle back if I’m on my back. And if I am on my stomach the mattress doesn’t sink far enough to accommodate my chest. This mattress very comfortably accommodates all scenarios. If I could ask for anything is for it to be an inch thicker and be a little more firmer. But do note, this is a firm mattress I bought. I like firm. I slept on the floor for years, to give you perspective. If you are someone that likes soft, I’m not a good reference point.

I waited quite awhile to review this as I wanted ample time to get companies feed back after they stayed at our house a few times and we are using it as a couch (in the folded version) and I wanted to see if it held up. So far we have had it several months and while my company has mentioned it is on the firmer side, it is very comfortable. They do not notice the breaks in the mattress (where the folds are) and they do not feel the floor at all. It looks smaller than a queen when laid out but I think that's just an illusion because the queen sheets I already had fit it just like any other regular mattress. The mattress did have a slight odor but the odor has disappeared to nothing quickly and it expanded extremely well after opening. All measurements on thickness ring true for ours. I purchased a cover separately for when it is folded and use it as a place to sit in my sons room, like a couch when pushed up against the wall in the trifold position. My husband is a big guy (upper 300lbs) and while it does collapse down some with him it never gets to the floor. I am about 140lbs and it barely gives with me when I sit on it. Side note, I have even slept on it before with it folded in our "couch" position and that (while firmer than I liked, I like soft beds) was still very comfortable. This would be more of a nap spot for an adult since it was too short to stretch out or would be perfect for a kid sleeping over if you didnt want to unfold the entire bed.

Oh where oh where do I start... We bought a house to remodel the upstairs. Over one year ago. Started out sleeping on a mattress I made up of all of our extra baskets and sleeping bags in the living room floor.... All because I am cheap and was in denial that it was taking forever to get this damn remodel done. After an entire summer of packing up our bed each morning, setting it up each night,,, barely able to stand in the morning from the back pain I broke down and bought a high end, air mattress. It cost $75 and it was ON SALE! It was heaven! My back was better, sleeping better, it deflated fast for take down each morning.... This remodel is STILL not done, yes still in the living room floor but at least I'm comfy at night. That lasted about 1 month. 😓 Then by morning the bed sagged and when my husband got up I flopped around like a beach ball on a waterbed. Trying to deal and not complain,,, house still not done 😡 my body became stuff and sore once again. To the point when my subconscious would reach over around midnight and hit the inflate button on the damn air mattress. My husband would never even wake up from the noice,,,, or my pillow over his face if I considered it, maybe if this flipping house doesn't get done. Again around 2 am, flip the switch while I think about the life insurance, yep, that could pay a faster contractor maybe. Ugh. Finally my back could take no more of the tossing and bouncing like I was the worst competitor on that game show with the giant balls people flew off of. 🙄 Constant headaches from all the neck tension and my husband says,,, "Ya know I saw this thick sleeping matt on Amazon, maybe look into that." I did. I bought this. Queen size, 6 inches of fold up heaven. It's almost too good to be true. Where have you been and why have I never found you until now!? We've been sleeping on it for over a week now and it's like a firm mattress. I don't hit the floor at all. I wake up comfy, well rested, and sane! I also purchased the storage bag for it which I love and is well worth the money! It's bulky and heavier than an air mattress but I'll take that any day! Marriage seems to have improved already some.... Still no bedrooms yet but hell, it's a roof over our heads. 😜 I won't turn in his life insurance anytime soon anyway. Lol

I knew this bed would be somewhat bulky but I was not expecting it to be as difficult to manage as this bed was. My first portable bed was a futon that rolled up and could fit in the back of my prius; I had many inbetween that but I ended up with a lightspeed that was super portable. When that died I got this bed researching 'portable' beds. I saw that it weighed slightly over 40lbs but I thought from the pictures and the advertisement that it would be manageable. It wasn't. Keep in mind I am a very short person and weigh about 100lbs. My experience buying things on amazon has taught me to look at the weight and in that time I've learned anything over 15lbs is going to be something I won't be moving often. This bed is great if you're not moving it often; but I travel a lot and move often. This said. First this mattress wasn't delivered to my door like other mattresses; for whatever reason I needed to be there when it arrived to sign for it and because I was not there they dropped it off at a factory. I took my little prius over to the factory to pick it up only to realize getting it to fit in my car at all was a nightmare. It took two people to help me get it in (with the box). Once I dragged it to the door and into the house I then took it out of the box and had to drag it all the way into the room it would go into. The second major downside is that it's not comfortable like I had expected it to be. After you lose your bed and are sleeping on a hard cot with no cushion everything feels amazing, but after the first few days or even weeks that I got acclimated with the bed I realized it wasn't as soft and didn't really conform to my bed as much as I would have liked it to. The third thing that bothered me was that it was hard to clean. It's a real bed with real bed issues. I brought a mattress cover for it but the mattress cover had issues so it stained through and I couldn't get it up. I'm torn because I don't feel it was worth the amount of money I spent for what I wanted to spend a lot of money for in a bed; but at the same time I feel it's worth the amount of money it costs for a person who doesn't plan on moving their bed often; and requires less portability. In the end had this bed been more portable and lightweight even if it cost the same as it did; I would have just laid a mattress topper on it and rated this 4 out of 5 stars deducting only because it's not as comfy on its own. What is comfy is subjective as my family loves the bed and feels it's comfy but I am notoriously difficult. Because my joints cause me a lot of pain and are sensitive. I thought that this bed would conform more to my body and feel more like sleeping on clouds but it wasn't. So one star is deducted for comfiness, and the second star is deducted for not being as portable as I would like. If ultra portability for camping in a tent and being on the go isn't an issue for you then by all means this is a great bed (with comfiness that doubles as a chair). Otherwise look for alternative solutions.
