Infuriating light with serious quality flaws that affect its longevity.
I find this light infuriating and has some serious quality flaws that affect its longevity. On the positive side it is a nice size and weight, it feels well made (although it isn't). The user experience is deeply flawed, in that touching the top of the light is supposed to change the brightness of the light (by cycling through brightness levels and also a range of lurid primary colours) and also to turn off the light. These are accessed with different lengths of press. It is really easy to accidentally switch the light on and change the colour of the light - which if you are trying to get to sleep and accidentally make the room bright blue is really unhelpful. The ideal light would have one button per feature, and fewer features overall. The battery doesn't hold charge for more than a few minutes, the light randomly switches between red and daylight if I use 'Alarm 1' but not for 'Alarm 2'. I've no idea why. At this point this is an expensive chunk of e-waste with a terrible user interface. Finally, it uses the micro-USB charging cable which is difficult to insert as it only goes in one way around. Hard pass. Not recommended.

Excellent functionality
I’ve had one of the OG Lumi lamps for years. While I liked it, being limited to 30 min wake up simulation was annoying as I found myself waking up long before my alarm time. It also got very hot. This does everything I wanted and better! It’s a really compact but bright light. The choice of 10, 20, 30 sunlight simulation is the main reason I bought it! Choice of two alarms for weekday and weekend is great too. The speakers are good however the lowest volume is still quite loud for radio. You can choose to wake up to chime, beep, birds, radio or no noise. I prefer no noise. The sleep sunset sleep setting you can set for 15, 30, 60mins and it ends with a red light which is very relaxing. I haven’t tried the sleep noises. You can also dim or turn off the display at night. I’ve gotten rid of my beside lamp as this is touch and you’ve many lighting options. It doesn’t get hot either. My only con would be that it can be confusing to get your head around some settings at the start. But once you set it up once it’s easy and intuitive. The instructions are good I think the price is fair as it’s decent quality and doesn’t feel flimsy. I can’t comment on battery life as I leave it plugged in.

Like having a torch shone in your eyes
So, I have been using one of these as bedside clock for about 6 months now. As a "wake up light", which was my motivation in purchasing, it's really not great. The light has 3 brightness settings, which go from blinding, to very blinding, to looking into the sun. There is no smooth transition between these brightnesses, and the jump off to the first bright has always instantly woken me up. It's something like someone shining a flashlight into your eyes, which is hardly a smooth wakeup as these lights are intended to provide. After about two days I stopped using this feature altogether. Used as a standard alarm clock, it's functional, though still far from good. The buttons on each side are far too stiff, which combined with how light the light is, means to press them you often have to physically grip the light with two hands. This becomes an issue as any touch of the top of the light will turn on the light itself, instantly blinding you. The process for using the radio at an alarm clock also doesn't seem like it was thought through. When the alarm sounds, the radio turns on, and gradually increases in volume to ensure you wake. As with the light, the lowest of these volumes is already quite load, though is at least passable. This issue comes if you want to keep the radio running after disabling the alarm. The volume at the end of the alarm is always retained when you go from alarm to radio, meaning every you have to adjust the volume after switching the alarm off. It's minor, but coupled with awkward buttons gets quite annoying. A few minor issues: the general build quality is average I think. Whilst it does look nice from a distance, the materials are much less nice closeup. Additionally the clock on the radio gradually loses time, only about 15m in 6mo, but on mains power that seems like something avoidable in the modern age. In general: if you want this as a wakeup light, I would only choose it if you know you need something really bright. If you don't want it as a light, then a standard clock/radio is probably going to be better designed and cheaper.

good, but
It is a good lamp with lots of different light colouras to help you wake up and to help you sleep, also the alarm is a good option to have, though I didn't use it. But the battery life is very short, has to be plugged inmost of the time

It’s alright
So I was thinking of getting this or the luminor brand, this one seemed to have a particular raving review. I’ve had a play around it, the cons are - cannot turn down the default volume!! Like the sound of the waves and radio is so loud- it is at 100% and I’m guessing most people will have it next to their bed? I’m afraid the alarm will make me bolt out of bed not gently wake me up!! I’m going to give this a try few days, and if the volume is intolerable i’m going to have to change it and get a different brand!! - the cable is too short so i had to use one of my own -buttons are quite small and fiddly - bird sound for wake up is quite a short repetitive loop pros - lighting seems good has bluetooth and radio if you want to use this function sensor tap lighting overall It’s okay, I’m going to get the other brand as sadly unable to turn down radio volume plus other brand is cheaper at the moment (this was £60) and other brand is £40
