When he was trying to color and write, I noticed he was not gripping the instruments correctly. They are made of a soft silicone, so they should be quite comfortable for small hands. They will NOT fit an adult, as you can see in my photo.At a dollar a piece, they are not inexpensive, but it is a small price to pay if they work for children who just can’t seem to grasp a pencil correctly. My toddler now refuses to use a regular crayon/colored pencil without these! they only fit your small/regular pencils/crayons, but that's no biggie for us.

They are soft and flexible. They fit little fingers quite nicely, but I can get my adult fingers in there too. They slid onto a regular sized pencil easily, but stay put. The various colors are quite pleasant.My only 'complaint' -- as a left hander -- is that they look like they are made for right handed kids. Notice the two pictures (one held as a lefty and one held right handed). They seem to assume a right handed hold and there is even a small dip for the middle finger to 'sit' in when held by a right hand. The listing indicates they're good for either - but they're clearly better designed for right handed.Regardless, my daughter appears to be a righty. These will be nice to help her practice her penmanship.
