This is awesome I wish I'd installed it sooner. I had a Corsair AIO water cooler and it never seemed to act right. I know it was installed correctly (i've built quite a few PC's over the decades), but for example sometimes the CPU block light would come on, sometimes it wouldn't. My CPU would run hot (5800x3d) and I felt that the AIO just wasn't working well enough. It WAS working, just not as well as I thought it should. Saw this cooler on Amazon for less than $40. and on impulse picked it up, and it sat under my desk for probably more than half a year. I just never seemed to have the time to take apart my desktop and remove the AIO and install this. Well last week I got tired of feeling like I had a space heater under my desk and finally swapped them out and the difference is like night and day. For one thing it blows the hot air 'back' instead of 'up' at me, and somehow it's about 5-8 degrees cooler. Which doesn't sound like a lot but it does make a difference. Maybe I should've used a 3 fan AIO instead of a 2 fan AIO, but I was worried the larger 3 fan wouldn't fit. The desktop is running fine, temps are low, this CPU cooler looks 'cool' and everything is running fine. I wish the fan aRGB wires were just a tiny bit longer, even just an inch or two would've been better. I had to run them down behind the MB and up through the bottom to get to the right header on my ASUS mb, and the cords just barely reached. But other than that there were no issues. the RGB for them is controlled by the Armoury Crate software and I've had no issues with it. All in all it's a great cooler and I'd recommend it pretty highly.

Note that the cooler's size means one fan will likely interfere with non low profile RAM (Vengeance LPX). The fan that interferes (if it does) can be moved slightly upwards, which will not harm performance in any meaningful way but will look a bit worse. Reasonably quick to assemble, but do pay attention to the side the thermaltake logo and heap pipes are facing. Comes with thermal paste, keep in mind the paste is very thick so you may want an old card on hand to help with application (does not need to be spread if it's a large pea size dot near the center of the cpu, the cooler spread it out once applied). The card (or any other small edged tool - plastic to avoid scratching the cpu) will help with getting the paste to stop sticking to the applicator and moving the blob to the center of the cpu! Keeps even the Ryzen 9 9950x3d at good temps up to a 78 celcius max after sustained workloads, with minimal thermal throttling (cinebench scores remain high). The cooler is overall quiet (no AIO pump whir helps), well built (lifted the relatively heavy X870E Nova with it). And the fans are PWM adjustable with RGB support using the standard ARGB header.

Great fan that you should definitely try if your case has the space. Comes with thermal paste, though it does not seem of the highest quality and is very thick. I’m not sure how to compare it though. Each fan is wired separately, but it comes with an adapter to merge the connectors so it can plug into the CPU fan 4-pin. Setting the fan onto the bracket was tricky to line up, but once that was done, it was a smooth install.

Replaced a Wraith Prism for my 5800 XT. Good temps, 30 idle, around 60 on load for gaming. Easy install, fits in my small Cooler Master Q300L. Looks cool. Cheap. Can't ask for more. You will need a 5v 3 Pin ARGB controller to use the RGB lighting. My motherboard didn't have one but luckily I already bought an ARGB controller for a different component beforehand. Something to keep in mind if you are an older or more barebones motherboard with less features.

Great cooling and very quiet. It is however quite large so if you plan to buy anything other than low profile RAM, expect to shift one of the fans up a few cm.

It’s really good. There were a couple things that brought it down a star. For one, when trying to install the fan clips, I sliced my finger on the metal and started bleeding. Second, one of the pins was slightly shorter than the other disallowing it to properly connect. Lastly, it’s a tiny bit loud but small drawback for big cooling. For reference, I have a Ryzen 5 9600x and it remained cool even under heavy load. Its range of colors is appealing, works well, and was easy enough to install (assuming you have slim and small fingers).

These ThermalRight coolers are amazing. Considering price and functionality they do a terrific job at producing computer thermal control products. I did not know anything about ThermalRight until this purchase. I found the brand via YouTube system builders and Chat GPT. I bought a new Game PC and tried running Cinebench benchmarks and found that the Ryzen 7 7700X was unable to complete the test. It shut down the test with about 2 minutes to go. I assumed that it was related to thermal throttling (or panic). The small AMD Wraith Prism cooler (while looking cool) was not doing the full job. This cooler barely fit in a PowerSpec G725 case, but it does fit. Cinebench now passes (though by design the Ryzen 7 7700X runs the CPU to 95C no matter what cooler you have. BTW, I also bought a ThermalRight SecureFrame kit for AM5 - I highly recommend that too.

But at the end of the day, it's the raw cooling power and near-silent operation that make this cooler a truly worthwhile investment. Despite its imposing size, the installation process for the Thermalright PS120SE ARGB is quite straightforward. It comes with clear, step-by-step instructions and mounting hardware. The brackets and screws are well-made and fit securely. While aligning the screws can be a little tricky at first, following the instructions and tightening them a little at a time in a criss-cross pattern makes the process much easier. The fans are also simple to clip on once the heatsink is in place If you also have 4 ram sticks you will have to slide your fan up juuuust a little tad bit but it won't be above the heatsink.
