book purchased as "used" and described as acceptable condition. But it came in new-looking condition. Ove the patterns. Some easy, some a bit above myability but I will learn. Seller just excellent to deal with. Would order this book again for friends who knit. The directions seem easy to understand and veryeasy to read. How to section in front of book for beginners or those who might need refresher "course". Pkg arrived on time, well-pkg'd, no damage.Worth the price.

The book is a large book. I find the graphs and font size to be very readable. Each pattern is well photographed. Patterns for every level of knitting. I haven't worked a pattern yet, but I just love the one titled, Twisted Leaves. Many of the blankets have lovely edging.

Love the patterns in this book! Directions are well written and charts are easy to follow. I am knitting the Seed Moss Stitch and Lace Blanket now and plan to do several other patterns in this book!

Great patterns. The one I'm doing did get me a little confused on the cable. It said C6F so I pulled 6 stiches to the cable needle but it really meant 6 total so only 3 on the cable needle. Just a difference in pattern instructions from different countries.

Beautiful collection of patterns with beautiful stitches and very clearly written instructions. Jody Long is one of my favorite designers.

Font size of Instructions are too small for even those with good eyesight. Especially since this is a craft book that each step needs to be correct.Not all abbreviations are noted on the cover flap. Example: MB which is a bobble. Sure the explanation is on page 37 for that pattern. But this bobble is used in patterns after page 37. Been better to have made this collection into 2 volumes to allow for larger font and pages for abbreviations. As well as the graph paper design which too was way to small for such titious work. By splitting into 2 volumes maybe the designer could have written the pattern out by each row.Page 51 . Row 1 instructions after the *. to last 2 sts, K3. Oops. Should have read "to last 3 sts, K3

I bought this for my mum, but I'm hoping to 'share' with her! We're both keen knitters and this book will keep us occupied for a while. Really good value for money due to the number of patterns in it. Often with books like this, there are several patterns that you don't like, but this book is different - we're probably going to make most of these between us. The hardest part is deciding which one to start with....Nice, clear photographs and a section about techniques and basic stitches help to make this book suitable for beginners and more experienced knitters alike.

Lovely baby blanket patterns in this book. Easy to follow patterns. I have made three different blankets so far. One was a gift and was very well received. The other two were for my charity knitting group. Other members loved them so much I had to order three more books for them as they do not use the internet.
