Q: Where do these mealworms come from - are they from the UK?

I will enquire as I understand their source is from China. I'd rather purchase UK-sourced bird food myself.

That's nothing, I've just (literally) watched the 5kg bag of mealworms in my Amazon basket, go up from £38.99 to a whopping (and frankly stupid) price of £78.00 in a matter of 3-5 minutes. That's just disgusting practice and there's absolutely no valid excuse for such a ridiculous hike in the price, as they're now almost twice the price of most other Amazon Sellers of mealworms. An idiotic practice. I wonder if this company will last until September 2018 before the receivers come in?

Q: Is the 5kg before they're dried? There's 5 litres which is double these for half the cost.

A litre weighs much less than a kilogram. I bought a 5 lire tub and the contents weighed less than 2kg.

Q: how often per day feed dried mealworms..i have a huge array of starlings...which i love...currently doing 3 times ...same time each day..

I too have lots of Starlings plus Blackbirds and Wagtails which love them. I throw a couple of handfuls on the lawn 4 to 5 times a day.

Always great value, great product that the birds just love.Used this brand before a couple of times, always great fast service, well wrapped and clean.The mealworms are great quality, clean, whole,good sized and no debris in the bag.The birds love them, soon as they are in the various feeders the little flockers are diwn feeding away like good ones.Will definitely back when this bag has been demolished.

GOOD VALUE AND THE BIRDS LOVE THEM!

This product is sometimes hard to find from garden centres and pet shops and at the moment the birds are eating as many worms as I can put out on the feeders so really don't want to run out. This big bag will last me for quite a while, at least through Spring and the nesting season.
