Tom Chambers Bird Table Accessory Set, clear

After the cold snap the UK had towards the end of Feb 2018, the humanitarian side of me spared a thought for the robins and other birds that came to watch me hacking down the garden ready for spring. I threw out some bits of bread, which they partly ate. But once the snow had cleared there was just soggy, soon-to-go-mouldy bread left on the ground. So, I bought myself a bird table, some feed and this accessory set so that flying visitors could have a drink and a bath away from most felines and other predators.When it arrived, the box was pretty battered. The actual parcel it came in was fine, so its clearly been knocked around in a warehouse or during the manufacturing process at some point.The kit itself, however, got here in one piece. It was tightly packed with each item stacked on top of each other. It was clearly designed with packaging in mind, so brownie points for that. The overall construction has a pretty high quality finish with a decent protective coating. The downside is the actual spot welding and finishing of the bare metal is pretty poor. None of the edges appear to have been sanded, rounded or even touched after being cut. The welds are 'globby' in places and of a high-school standard. Even the positioning of components is hit-and-miss. It smells a lot like workers being rushed to fulfil a batch order without enough time or resources to do it properly. Either that or the production line is woefully ill-equipped.The most annoying part is that you have to supply your own screws for it, but for some incredible reason, they've made the holes 8mm wide, when most wood screws are around 5-6mm! Don't forget to buy some washers when you get your wood screws too.Overall, the set looks nice from a distance and does it's job of feeding and bathing your little garden visitors. Just don't look at it for too long, otherwise your inner D&T Teacher will come out and criticise sooooooo many things about it. It would have been nice to have screws for attaching each component, but I imagine the manufacturer struggled to find any that fit!Good Points- Great protective finish- Looks quite nice- The birds will love it- Comes with: Feed tray, Water bowl, Loop arm for the water bowl, Hanging bird feeder arm, 4 x fat ball hooks for hanging fat balls.Not-so-good Points- Mediocre construction/manufacturing quality- Box arrived damaged- Need your own screws- Will need some washers with the screwsOverallIt's OK for the price, but you'll still need to fork out for 6 x Washers and 6 x wood screws to suit your particular bird table.

Arrived late am not impressed with this product

Good quality and attractive item and cheap at the price. So it did not have screws, I quickly found enough wood screws in my shed and it took me 5 minutes to set up. It looks great, it really does and will be well used. Glad I bought it

Nice water dish, seed dish and hook for coconuts or fat balls - very happy with them!

Useful items and the birds like them too. Not sure about the water bowl but perhaps some gardens need this too. Supplied with sturdy screws to attach to the bird table. Looks attractive when attached to your bird table.

Bought this a while ago but just found review page... still in garden and going strong. This was a good purchase

This is an ideal accessory to any bird table. However please be aware that there are NO screws in the box to fix the items to a bird table / fence / wall. Doh!
