Hornbeam Ivy Deluxe British Made Chrome Counter/Deck Mount Soap Dispenser for the Kitchen

I am very pleased with this soap dispenser; and the service received from the company which make it. I had ordered a chrome tap initially, but on arrival realised I needed a brushed nicol version to match in with my other taps. On calling the company, a replacement was sent swiftly, without extra charge, which was a good start. The fitting instructions which come inside the box are very clear, well written and illustrated with helpful diagrams. They have been written by someone with good English, unlike many products bought at this affordable price point. They provide the user with straight forward instructions on how to fit it. I am no DIY expert, but with the purchase of 25 mm hole saw (£10) from my local DIY store, I fitted the tap quickly. When we had our kitchen professionally fitted, we had the option to add something very similar to this on the spec, but the company wanted £325! This is no doing exactly the same task, for one tenth of the cost - and the quality is spot on. As you might guess, I definitely recommend it.

Very nice product - quality feel. Only downside is that the fitting instructions don't make it clear that the bottle fits over the 3 grippers and although it wobbles a bit apparently that is how it is supposed to be.

I had a Franke soap dispenser previous to this but had problems with it. This is one kitchen item I can't live without, so have been looking at buying another one, but did not really want to pay out another £50-£60. I saw this on amazon, sold by a british company at a far cheaper price. The quality of this item is second to none! I realised this as soon as I unpackaged it. It looks great and have been using it for over a week with no problems. Pump action works great. No more messy liquid bottles! Very easy to fit, easy to fill, good instructions. I love it!

Being a retired plumber I have fitted many soap dispensers and this is the first one I have come across with a major design flaw. The soap bottle clips into position and therefore is not a seal to prevent soap liquid leaking out if overfilled. It is very fiddly having to measure out how much soap to use and judging how full it is. Other makes use a screw on bottle, therefore if overfilled it runs out onto the worktop.

Looks really good and works fine but my only gripe is that the spout is very narrow and you have to pump the top seven or eight times to get a reasonable amount of soap into the sink.

THIS SOAP DISPENSER LOOKS GOOD. IT IS VERY GOOD QUALITY AND VALUE FOR MONEY. HOWEVER, UNFORTUNATELY, I AM UNABLE TO USE IT AS THE POSITION PREPARED ON THE WORKTOP FALLS BEHIND MY KITCHEN CUPBOARD AND IT WOULD MEAN THAT I WOULD HAVE TO CUT OUT PART OF IT.

Our Franke soap dispenser started to leak soap from the pump seal. Franke were unable to help with parts or repair and could only provide a complete new dispenser for £65. This was after less than 2 years use. This dispenser by Hornbeam is as well made if not better than the Franke item and has a life time warrantee. The only difference is the length of the delivery tube. It is about 30mm shorter. The best part is that the pump is a direct fit into the Franke worktop fitting so all one has to do is insert the pump and dip tube into the current housing, providing the reach of the delivery tube is close enough to your sink. Not only that it is less than half the price of the Franke item.

Excellent quality delivered faultlessly and ideal for kitchen dispensing. Not brilliant for non-cabinet sinks as bottle and operation tube are rather large and obvious.
