VOLANTEXRC Remote Control Boat Contents In Box: RC Boat Remote Control Handle Lithium Battery Plus a Spare Batteries 4 x AA Charging Cable Lead Spanner Spare Propeller. Instruction Manual. If you are wondering about losing the boat in the middle of a lake when the battery runs out like I was, the ESC auto-sensing voltage cut off function will engage when the battery is running low so you know to get the boat back to the side and change or recharge the battery, no lost or stuck boat you are unable to reach which is a good from a safety point of view. The RC boat comes with 2 Lithium batteries which is great so you always have one charged up when needed. The RC boat comes already assembled and can be used straight from the box after inserting the batteries. This boat is neat and compact and feels really well built and the battery compartment is easy accessible without the need of a screwdriver either, you just turn the little lever to open and close, the closure structure of the mechanism is secure and a nice neat fit. I especially like the hand controller as it's a good size to grip and feels comfortable holding, the control dial has a sponge type layer so its more easy to grip and guide the boat. Photo taken with baked beans can for scale. *Please Note: I have had to do this review as time is running out from my trial period but will update once I have been too the lake*

Cool little boat, ok for kids but not little ones, needs really flat water as doesn't have self right function so you have to be careful. I’d probably say spend an extra £20 and get one with a bit better spec but good little toy for small pools.

As a child, I used to love the remote controlled boats at the funfair, so I thought this may give me a nice trip down memory lane. I have as yet got to test this somewhere other than the bath because the only open water near me would mean I would be worrying the wildlife. The boat itself is a nice size, actually, I thought it was a little bigger than expected. Most mini remote controlled items I've had have been quite small, mini helicopters and drones for example. This boat is around a foot long. There is no major assembly required, simply charge the two batteries and then insert one, you are then good to go. Fitting the battery is a doddle, simply twist the locking mechanism at the back of the boats cabin on the top, and lift of the cabin. Insert the battery and put the cabin back, being sure to lock it back in place. The remote controller is simple enough to use, a trigger for the speed, and a dial to move the rudder. I like the fact that this comes with two batteries, so fully charged you should get around 10 minutes per battery, give or take. I also like that the speed is up to 20 mph. Everything worked perfectly, it is just the speed I haven't been able to test yet. The controller takes four AA batteries which are included in the box. I am looking forward to finding some suitable water in order to give this a good run and see what it is capable of.

The boat is great but first charge on Christmas Day the USB snapped off in the socket so now can’t charge it. It’s not a normal charger so not sure where to replace it. Plus it was t cheap so a bit disappointing.
