Works exactly as shown. Was pleasantly surprised that it is metal and not plastic as I was expecting, extremely sturdy, even on the bumpy country roads.Perfect for a mini cooper which as normal air vent holder doesn't work on and doesn't cover even a slight bit of the windshield while driving.The tool given doesn't fit the screws that connect the speedo to the steering column but even a basic tool set will cover the correct bits needed.

No problems, it isn’t hard to install but I think some people just aren’t used to diy or don’t have the right tools which you need to fit it maybe that’s why some reviews were negative. Personally I found it really easy. For those people it would be good to have a little video to show how to fit it and which tools are required.

F56 - instructions are awful and for the wrong model.1 move the wheel down, then remove the plugs over the star screws2 remove the star screws, being very careful not to drop them (use a magnetic screwdriver if at all possible, this is made harse because the included tool only just reaches and isn't magnetic - there's almost no room for fingers to catch the screws as well as the tool).3 unscrew the two phillips screws on the back of the speedo on the side you want to fit the holder.4 use the supplied screws to screw the holder in place.5 screw the star screws back in place6 fit the plastic casing under the steering wheel back in if you are me and had to go fishing for lost screws!7 fit the ball joint to the holder, tighten up with the fly nut on the back and fit the phone in the clasp.This isn't rocket science to fit but you need to be confident and it was not quick - admittedly I lost the screws in the housing but it took me 2 hours from head scratching start and googling for YouTube videos to turning the car off happy it was all working fine.The white Mini text is not very refined, I will probably paint it out or paint it dark grey at some point. It seems to work OK as a holder which is at least something too!

The frame/arm itself is excellent, but they don't include any installation instructions.The included tool is useless & you can't install with the speedo/dial in situ.If you look at the speedo/dial from the front you'll see a couple of black grommets in the bootom left & bottom right corner. Remove these to expose the securing screws. You need a star head screw driver to remove these. Then pull the speedo/dial towards you to remove from it's mounting.There's no need to unplug the wiring loom.With the speedo free in your hand you can then easily remove 2 of the screws from the back of the dial & fit the arm, then reinstall the sppedo/dial.However, the supplied mobile phone holder that goes on the end of the arm is also useless as it wobbles & drops any large smartphone. So I discarded it & used a holder from a previous mobile phone holder/arm.In short, the arm is the only useful part of this, you need the time & tools to remove the speedo in order to fit it & you need to hack an alternive mobile phone holder to the arm If you put in the time you'll end up with an excellent solution.

Really love this mount. It's well built and sturdy.It is fiddly to fit but just requires a little patience and effort.We bought the right hand drive model so the phone is mounted on the right side of the steering wheel. That way it doesn't block the air vent but means you need a longer charge lead.The only slight criticism I will add is the word Mini on the bracket is partly hidden behind the rev counter. A small but annoying detail that should have been so easily avoided.

Firstly installation is easy enough if a supplied you with the correct tools, the tiny snub nose screwdriver is completely useless recommend using an allen key or an extendable screwdriver.Secondly the build quality is terrible. The metal arm is fine but you can't really go wrong with a single piece of metal. The problems arise with the plastic phone holder itself. Within a few weeks of use every possible part has broken.

Fitted in 5 minutes- comes with torx screwdriver which makes it all very easy to fit on a F56 mini.I’m waiting for a wireless pad charger version of this

Love that this is really stable and holds the phone steady, but after only a few weeks the spring appears to have gone and it won't clamp my phone any longer. I paid a garage to fit it as I was scared to unscrew my instrument panel myself, so not sure what I'm going to do now! I wonder if they can replace just the bit that grips the phone without having to buy the whole thing again?

Si lo instalas tú mismo si le vas a batallar un poco, para instalarlo bien tienes que desarmar el tacómetro, no es imposible y no se descompone nada si lo haces con cuidado y te ahorras la mano de obra en algún taller

This product did not work well for my situation but Customer Service had no issues making it right. Much appreciated.

No es difícil de colocar Eso sí le falta cierta curvatura para adaptarse correctamente a la curva natural del cuenta revoluciones se puede solventar colocando un tornillo más largo en en orificio central Cumple su función y es lo único decente para un Mini
