Red and Black Dragonfly killer
This tiny dongle was originally around £50 and is also the exact same as the more expensive SMSL Idea dongle DAC which was about £80 so I paid the current price of £20 is an audiophile bargain! Not sure how long this will be available as when I bought it there was only 4 left so I had to act quick as it might have the dreaded 'no longer available' message. The technology in this Sabaj DA2 is very good and much better than the tech in the cheaper dongles costing £10 to £15 on here with their generic unnamed DAC chips (probably realtek chips) so paying an extra £10 or £5 is definitely a no brainer you WILL notice a big difference in sound. This dongle packs an Xmos control amp chip and a Sabre 9018 DAC chip.Sound is clean clean and clean, no harshness , vocals are realistic and natural with great levels of details breath's, and those tiny details that make vocals more realistic are all there. I have owned the dragonfly black and red and although those dongles are very good this £20 dongle IMHO is better than the black and on a par at least with the superb red.I can't comment on the dragonfly cobalt as I have not had that in my collection but I have had fiio, Apogee's Groove (£180), THX Onyx (£150), Cayin RU6 and more and this £20 dongle in no way shows itself up and is more than comfortable in those elite dongles company. Finally I have heard this has issues connecting to android phones giving out a buzzing noise but because I'm solely using this on my Windows 11 desktop PC with no issues plug and play I can't comment on thise android issues. Finally on windows sound settings I set it to 32 bit 384hz ......Recommended?....oh yes get it while you can is my advice

First impressions
Pros:- Good amp- slightly improves sound quality- Compatible with most devices- 3 different connection cables included- small size- volume buttonsCons:- earphone in-line control and microphone does not work- Unable to use earphones for anything else but music player- gets hot- drains my battery very quickly- in android it has the annoying sound until you switch it to midi, but still it doesn't last and goes back to usb charging (but without the annoying noise)Overall really good device for the price, it does the job, if only these annoying things could be fixed, I would have given it 5 stars.

Little but powerful , amazing sound quality
Compare with integrated Realtek alc269 is incredible difference, the same much better quality and louder volume on smartphone.

Tiny and powerful
Tiny but packs great quality inside of it. If you're looking for the smallest DAC but with the best quality of sound. This is the one to go for. If you don't mind the size then go for the bigger model sabaj da3

bad buzzing noise after one year use
after one year of usage, it has developed bad buzzing sound when connected to any mobile or tablet. Really disappointed. Thought it would have lasted longer. Not buying again from this company until they get quality control under control.

Sounds great buk very poor build quality
These sound fantastic for the size and price. The issue is the build quality is very poor, after a few weeks the connection cable provided fell apart, then the volume buttons fell inside the case, then the case came apart and it stopped working. Having said all that I have just ordered another one because of how good it sounds and how small it is.

the musical instruments are better defined even with mp3
I have just reviewed the Da1 Sabaj DAC. This product works exactly the same, it works on windows pc, and on some Android phones (HTC 10 and HTC One M7 OK) I could not make it work on a tablet with Android 4 and on a Vodafone smartphone with Android 5.02.As for the sound, I have noticed an improvement even with mp3 music - the sound is full, clear, the instruments are better defined. This device is suited for higher than 24 bit lossless music. I do not have too much music of this kind yet but the future is Hi-Res!

Buen sonido
Muy buen sonido y fácil de usar una vez has activado el OTG si tienes un teléfono OPPO, de lo contrario no lo detectará. Por poner alguna pega es que tras un rato funcionando se calienta algo.

Piece of crap.
Getting really hot. Distort sound at high volume. Sound quality is avarage, nothing impressive at all.

excelente sonido

Full Hi-Res at a very reasonable price.
Decodes everything I need it to. I feel the sound quality is comparable to the Dragonfly Black. I have no problem running it with my ancient Samsung Galaxy S 5. It comes with two OTG cables. One micro b to micro b and a type c to micro b. I also use it with my laptop that has the bulk of my hi-res files. It's been a consistent and reliable performer. At this price it's hard to beat. I highly recommend it.UPDATE: After 2 weeks of use I like it even better. Here's why: 1. I could have gone for the Da3 but battery life with Smartphone use was an important consideration. The Da2 draws 100 ma, the Da3 basically has double the circuitry plus a display (0.8 watt power usage). The Da2 uses the same chip-set as the Da3, only 1 set for both channels instead of 1 set for each channel. I didn't see a possible dramatic difference in sound quality worth the extra power consumption. 2. Using the Da2 with MEE Audio's M6 Pro IEMs and the USB Audio Player Pro app is about the best entry-level Hi-Res sound I have ever heard. An added benefit with the UAPP app is that now I can play my old iTunes 44.1 khz files at 16x oversampling. I hear a definite improvement in the sound. There's more detail and the high-end is lifted. I'm able to make out lyrics I couldn't before. Others may disagree about oversampling but, to paraphrase, sound quality is in the ear of the beholder. Anybody want to buy a used Dragonfly Black? ;)UPDATE 2: The Da2 just went silent. I'm sure it's just a fluke. Good thing I didn't sell my Dragonfly.
