90370 Magnetic Hooks 1-1/2 Inch - 2 Hooks

The magnets are super strong. They leave marks when you move them across a surface, but I expected that from other reviews.They came unassembled, so you have to screw the hooks into the magnetic base yourself. None of them fit perfectly, they are either loose and never screw in tightly or too snug and there are still a few threads showing and it won't go in any further. This is lame, but none of this bothered me because the product still worked perfectly well.

I needed a set of hooks to hold a good sized calendar on the side of my fridge. It was one of those things you don't want to go search for at a brick and mortar store. Thankfully I found these on Amazon and they were as strong as any person will need to hold your average or above average calendar on a fridge. You could use them to hand oven mits or mosy anything else too. The hooks screwed in easily and just like that they were out of the packaging and ready to go.They're functional magnet hooks that were easy to assemble (screw the hook in the base by hand) and then pop on the fridge. It's really that easy.

Like several others below, I bought these as fridge magnets for my oven mitts. They work quite well as that - no problems. One of the hooks fits nice and snug in the base, though the other is loose enough that it rotates on contact, which can be slightly annoying when I'm trying to hook the mitts on at arms length. Still, they do what I bought them for, and the magnet is plenty strong for the purpose.

Granted, the magnet is strong, but after taking a frakkin' hour to get the actual hook into the little hole on the magnet base, I stuck it on the door of my mini-fridge to hang my scissors, but the hook did a 180 on me.I see no logical reason why these hooks can't come fully assembled.

These magnets are strong - the product packaging says they will hold 8 pounds and I don't doubt it. I have one hanging on the side of my filing cabinet to keep a clipboard in easy reach/sight, and the other on the side of the fridge next to the stove to hold a couple of silicone potholders (I rent, so I can't just screw a hook into the cabinetry).So why only three stars? When you the hook into the magnet there's no particular stopping point, except of course where the base of the hook would poke out past the surface of the magnet. So there's no way to tighten it, with the result that the hook itself turns easily in its socket. When I tried to put my clipboard on the hook, when I didn't hit it perfectly the hook kept turning to the side, so that I would have to stop and turn the hook right side up again for another try. This happened repeatedly and is a major design flaw, so I docked the product two stars for this one problem. Nonetheless I will keep the hooks (which come with a lifetime satisfaction guarantee from the manufacturer) and use some kind of adhesive or perhaps teflon tape to tighten the hooks into a single position.

These are perfect for the purpose we bought them for. I wanted something strong enough to hold up wet hand towels in the kitchen, as well as other small items we like to stick to the fridge or above the stove (utensils, etc.). It is a strong magnet, though you may need to tighten the screw into the base every once in a while. I would recommend.

they rusted very quickly

Purchased this to hold up a folder for my kids chores. Works pretty good. Did take the black paint off the side of my refrigerator from my kids pulling down the chore chart and having these magnets pull down. Other than that, it does it job.
