This really does work.
I had an oil leak on my VW T4 rocker cover, even though the rubber gasket was new. So off it came and after cleaning both the cover and gasket with petrol and letting it evaporate I smeared a thin coat of Hylomar on all surfaces like the tube says and left it for 10 minutes before assembling. Then nipped the three nuts up gently that hold the cover on and left it a day before starting the engine. After running the engine for about 20 minutes there was no signs of an oil leak anywhere. I recommend Hylomar to be used with any gaskets.

Blue Hylomar
If you use hylomar, you just need to know it arrived on time and a good price. Otherwise, blue hylomar is sticky non setting stuff for engine gaskets, lovely.

Packaging could be better
This stuff is the best you can get, Highly recommended by an ex royal royce mechanic and the only product he will use. My only critic was the packaging was just in a small jiffy bag which could have risked the product being damaged in transit, thankfully this was not the case for me.
