Great flavor, most are gluten free, I love these!
I couldn’t help but come and write a review of this brand of tteokbokki. I am celiac and can’t have gluten, so most brands aren’t safe for my dietary needs. But this is the real deal. Rosé is my favorite flavor but the sweet chili is also super yummy! If you don’t like too much heat, those are the mildest options. Sometimes I add a small scoop of gluten free gochujang if I want more kick. There are spicier options too but I haven’t tried them yet.I like adding sliced up sausage and extra rice cakes to these because the amount of rice cakes provided in one serving compared to the amount of sauce never feels like quite enough. If you order extra rice cakes some are shelf stable while others require refrigeration so definitely check to make sure you store them correctly. Some are ready to cook and some require soaking the night before so, again, make sure you check on what kind you are getting. The rice cakes in these packages are both ready to cook and shelf stable until opened then should be refrigerated if you have leftovers.I don’t recommend the microwave cups - mine boiled over in the microwave. The stovetop versions are perfect though!10/10

Quality product, the flavors are make or break
UPDATE 2: The garlic flavor was decent. Sweeter than I expected.UPDATE: The sweet chili flavor 100% redeems the awful Rosé flavor. Sweet yet savory, just a hint of heat on the back end *channels Food Network* highly recommend. Realizing this is a flavor review. But product-wise? They're satisfyingly squishy when cooked, easy to prepare.I anticipated the Rose to be at least a little spicy, but it was mostly just grossly sweet. I have not tried the other flavors, and I'm pretty sad this is the one I opened first, I couldn't stomach more than a couple bites, it even smells too sweet.. The instructions were simple, so I don't think I did anything wrong. I hope the rest are at least a little better. Hopefully I'll be able to update the review.

Mostly good
I've eaten a lot of tteokboki and I do like this brand. Chewy, fresh rice cakes and a decent assortment of flavors - although my favorite from them is diablo which isn't in this assortment. These are only rice cakes and sauce, no fish cakes, so it can feel like there's something missing if you're used to having fish cakes with your tteokboki. They are easy and quick to make and I like to add things like cheese, eggs, cream, or sausages to make it more filling. Best eaten immediately as the rice cakes will absorb the sauce.Flavor ranking1. Sweet Chili - Surprised at how good this was. Only mildly spicy but it might be too sweet for some people. It has sort of an umanmi flavor and is delicious with cheese. My mouth is literally watering thinking about it.2. Original - basic gochujang sauce. Spicier than sweet chili but still not too spicy3. Garlic - like a garlic stir fry sauce4. BBQ - similar to a teriyaki sauce but had an odd flavor I associate with marmite. Looking at the ingredients list the flavor is from yeast extract. It's a little off putting.5. Rosé - bizarrely acidic. I've had Korean rosé tteokboki and ramen too and they didn't taste like this. Vaguely reminiscent of gone off yogurt. Would not recommend. Maybe mine was bad?

Very good. It was spicy but milder than expected. The way I like it.

Fun! Directions are a tad misleading
I’ve been holding these in “safe for later” for some time! Now that we are eating Gluten Free, decided to try out 4 of the flavors! They are close to the authentic Korean “street food. They are also typically spicy and loaded w/seafood.The original rice cakes can be found frozen at most Asian grocery storesSince these are a bit dehydrated, the directions say add sauce and simmer. I found adding a little water to steam first before adding sauce was VERY helpful! Took me 10 min instead of 3 to get the correct consistency and softness. If cooking by directions only they would have burned and not fully softened. I’m glad I tried this version, although I’ll stick to the frozen disks in the future! The spicy meter on these I give: 4 out of 10That being said, black pepper can be too spicy for my mid-western palette!Good luck! BBQ flavor does have gluten if anyone is checking labels or has an allergy

Love this Tteokbokki flavor!!
This is my favorite tteokbokki! The rice cakes cook up deliciously chewy and the BBQ sauce flavor is a sweet mild flavor. I don't have a high tolerance of spicy food, so this allows me to add some hot sauce to MY spice level, if I choose. Great brand, easy to cook, and awesome flavor!! I always have this in my pantry.

Garlic flavor is excellent!
I absolutely love the Garlic flavor. I've purchased it a few times now. It has just enough spice and sweetness for me. My only qualm is that I wish this item was cheaper! The serving size is small, so I usually eat 2 packs at a sitting, making the price $7 a meal.I did try the Rose flavor and I extremely disliked it. It's sickly sweet and that's the dominating flavor. I do not recommend.Highly recommend the garlic!!!!
