They seem like the ideal all-round hiking boots - I absolutely love them
Initially I was a bit worried about reading some reviews online to say it's quite a narrow fit. I don't really have narrow feet and I've tried both the 'medium fit' and 'narrow fit' insoles that come with the boots (note: the 'medium fit' ones come already imbedded in the boots) - and they both fit my feet absolutely fine. My record with getting blisters with any hiking boots or running trainers etc is terrible. I really struggle with them however I took these pair of boots for their first test along a Hadrian's Wall walk (a bit overkill I know - but just to try them out) - and I didn't get any blisters. They are very comfortable, snug and secure and gave me no discomfort straight out of the box. No breaking in required. I particularly like the rubber-like protection going around the lower part of the uppers - it'll be ideal when I go to the Lake District. I also like the way the laces work in tangent with the '3F system' to really secure your ankle. I also like how the boots are compatible with semi-automatic crampons for when I feel ready to experience this. The grip underfoot is excellent. The boots straight out of the box feel like they've been built to last - very high quality and with premium materials. The boots of course look so cool - especially with the other colours that I wear. I will say that I was slightly annoyed with actually getting the right boots via ordering here as originally I was sent a size 11.5 - NOT the size 11 I actually ordered. This was easily resolvable but felt like such a silly error to make. Overall, highly recommended for anyone hiking on any terrain in the UK I'd say and a good starting pair of boots to get into winter mountaineering. Unless you regularly have problems with your feet being too wide for footwear, these should be absolutely fine.

Love them - my third pair!
This was my third pair in a row of Salewa’s Repace GTX-M so it’s fair to say, I love them. Likes: - I have average width feet and they fit perfectly; no blister heaven! - The 3F fitting system works well (note, I’d suggest buying half a size up from your normal shoe size which also allows for thicker winter socks) - Comfortable over even the longest and rockiest of hikes - The Vibram sole is fairly aggressive and is equally adept on boulder fields, mud or snow - The wrap around rubber rand is grippy and reduces wear and tear when scrambling - Despite their dainty size (a huge plus point), they are rigid enough and have the heel ridge to take C2 semi-auto crampons (or can accommodate C1’s) - They are light given their capability and can be used all year round Dislikes: - Full price can be expensive (you get what you pay for as they say) - With significant wear, they can eventually leak at the tongue - For some, they might not be warm enough for deeper snow hikes I really like these boots and just hope that Salewa keep producing them exactly as they are as I’ll keep buying them – very recommended!

Fit, Comfort, Stability
Fitted my usual insoles and went into the hills for some boulder hopping and scrambling. Great straight out of the box. I buy one size up and have wide feet. All good. Stiff sole, grippy and light for this type of mountain boot. I haven't yet carried heavy loads but already pretty confident that this will be a great boot for distance hiking in rough terrain. let's see if I'm right.

Love Salewa Boots But They Have Flaws
Had numerous boots by this company as I love the fit and comfort - remember, half size bigger works best for most people. Waterproofing prone to failing and not the most robust boot but they are so comfortable and you never get a blister. I have different summer and winter boots along with this as a mid-season boot from Salewa and they are all great. I hike a lot so need to buy a new pair every year.

Comfortable, quality walking boots
Fit straight out of the box, size was spot on a 43 (size 9 UK). The sole is quite rigid which is what I needed and they seem weatherproof. I've yet to test this out by spending all day out in the wet but they handled walking through a stream without any soggy socks. All in all a quality boot at an OK-ish price. I hope they last as long as my last pair of boots (Salomon) which have just started to let in water after 10 years!
