Thermos Work Series Flask, Hammertone Blue, 1.2 L

I purchased a Thermos Work 1.2L and decided to test it.The flask is rated as a 24 hour keep hot flask. I pre-warmed it with boiling water and then filled it to the top with boiling water from a kettle. I attached the stopper and twisted the cup firmly on the top. I placed It on a window ledge for 24 hours and periodically turned it upside down.After 24 hours the flask had scalding hot water which was then used to make a pot of tea which brewed for 5 mins and then produced a perfectly hot mug of tea with 4°C milk added. There was no leakage from the flask during this time. An excellent result.I then repeated the process leaving the flask for 48 hours on a windowsill (20°C) and turning it periodically.After 48 hours the water was very hot but not scalding. I used half the flask of water to make a pot of tea and resealed the flask. The pot stood for 5 min and had milk 4°C added. It produced a hot cup of tea. There was no leakage from the flask during this period. An excellent result.After 54 hours I used the final part of the water in the flask to make a pot of tea, which stood for 5 mins and had milk added 4°C. It produced a warm cup of tea. No leakage from the flask occurred during this period though it was stored upside down on its head. An excellent result.I consider this an excellent product which will keep food significantly hot for 48-hour periods. It’s strong robust stainless steel design should give many years service. 1.2 L will give five mugs of tea or coffee.It weighs about 800 g empty or 2 kg when full.An absolutely excellent addition for mountaineers, camping, lorry drivers, sailors, lifeboatmen, pilots, fishermen, factory workers or anybody requiring warm sustenance after many hours in a cold environment. It’s neck opening of one and a half inches will allow a very hot stew with thumb sized pieces of meat or vegetables to be poured without any difficulty well after 24 hours and will still be piping hot.

This flask is simply brilliant!It holds more than enough tea to keep you going through the day and it kept mine piping hot for well over 12 hours. I was shocked at how long my drinks were hot for.in my mind it is reasonably priced considering the quality of flask you are getting. It is pretty chunky though so if you are looking for something for short car journeys or for your desk at work then I would get something smaller. It certainly won't fit in your cars drinks holders that's for sure! I took it on a long walk and it just about fit in my mesh pocket on my bag (was a VERY tight fit) and with drink it did add a fair bit of weight. It does have a carry handle though and to be honest it isn't heavy enough to worry about really.The seal is tight and won't leak any fluid so if it rolls around you can be safe in the knowledge that your bags in the boot won't be covered in tea or soup!I can thoroughly recommend this flask and it does the job perfectly. It keeps your drinks hot for far longer than you will ever need it to.

I ride a motorbike for work and often find myself out in the Great British weather in need of a good cup of tea ( not something you pay £1 for in a polystyrene cup!). So I take a drink with me in a flask.Now, I have tried many flasks in my time all with the same problem. The first cup may be hot but the second and third get gradually colder through the day as the flask empties.So to the Thermos Work flask. This is probably larger than I would normally buy as it is a little big for my bike but it had a good review and with a bit of clever packing it does fit so I paid the money and ordered it.Pre heat with boiling water and pour my tea in, set for the day. First cup as hot as just pouring out the kettle.. A few hours later, still as hot. End of the day still hot and I mean HOT.I have even used it day later (because I didn't get around to drinking any one day and forgot to remake it) it was still hot enough to drink.In short this is an excellent vessel for keeping fluids hot. It says you can keep cold as well. I haven't tried it but see no reason why it wouldn't.The rugged design keeps it from getting dented and the cup is a good size so you don't always need to refillThe down side is that there is only one cup but then why would I want to share!

Always a good work flask, 35 years 3rd flask although this style only lasted 10 years rugged enough for the truck driver lobbed in cab an rolling about, few drops but always survived, stays hot for 24hrs if not opened, once turned an poured ya looking at 12hr of good heat, reccomended for price and probably the strongest on the market

I use this daily for work for my coffee. It's very sturdy keeps my drink piping hot all day. Good size cup too . You do get a few stains around the top of the inside of the flask but I only use it for coffee so no worries there. Excellent. Would recommend.

I use this for work in an office, it holds a large amount and every coffee I take from the thermos is just like I've freshly poured it, still scalding hot after 8+ in the office. Sturdy as can be and has a very nice rubber (I think) bottom which helps it not slide around on all surfaces. I sometimes find with flasks that the cup always gets too hot, almost too hot to handle and makes it uncomfortable but this one does something right as it's just the perfect temperature on the outside but the coffee still stays lovely and hot. Very glad I paid the extra £10+ and went for a thermos instead of a small brand I've not heard of before, well worth the money.

I bought this to take to work for my breaks. It keeps my coffee really hot as advertised, and I’m so pleased with it! I love that the top is a nice large cup, and it has a sturdy carry handleso I don’t drop it! Thankyou for a well made product that works well & looks great!

Ich habe schon einige Termosflaschen besessen und benutzt. Darunter no Name so wie Marken Artikel wie die Emsa Admiral oder Emsa Senator.Und um es kurz und knapp zu sagen,keine der anderen kann es mit der Thermos Work 1,2 Liter aufnehmen.Sie ist Mega toll,halt noch eine richtig Thermos und nicht so ein Pillefatz wie die meisten anderen.Sie hält lange Heiß,sie ist Robust und es passt viel rein, Punkt!Okay der Becher wird etwas warm,aber dafür würde ich keinen Stern abziehen,das währe Jammern auf hohem Niveau. Dafür hat der Becher eine bessere Größe und Form als andere.Ich finde Sie top und kann sie nur empfehlen.Ja sie ist etwas größer und wuchtiger,aber nun es ist halt eine Work Edition.Das einzige,was ich wirklich bemängeln würde ist das der Verschluss nicht durchdacht ist und sehr oft beim eingießen schlabbert bzw. tropft.Das ist für mich aber kein Grund einen Stern abzuziehen.Eher eine Empfehlung an den Hersteller diesen Verschluss zu überarbeiten.Und bitte immer daran denken es kommt bei der Warmhaltung immer darauf an ob die Kanne vorgewärmt ist und wie heiß der Kaffee ist der hinein kommt !Meine Erfahrungen beziehen sich auf die befüllung mit Kaffee aus der Kaffeemaschine Krups T8 die fast kochend heißen Kaffee Brüht. Und ich wärme die Kanne mit heißem Wasser vor,aber nur so lange bis die Kaffeemaschine fertig ist 😉Ps.Die Rezension in der steht das der Griff Heiß wird ist zum Flaschen Produkt geschrieben worden.Wer ein mal nachschaut sieht das dieser Kunde die selbe Rezension bei einem Flötenkessel geschrieben hat und dort gehört sie wohl auch hin.Also nicht bei der Thermos wird der Griff Heiß sondern bei einem Kessel.

Un thermos qui garde vraiment la chaleur longtempsUtilisé pour des thés préparés la veille et bus généralement dans les 12 - 16 heures suivantes. Étonnant, mais la chaleur est parfaitement conservée. Ottimo Thermos, capiente e robusto, mantiene veramente la bevanda calda tutto il giorno, anche il bicchiere è bello e di buona misura
