Reliable, Versatile, and Budget-Friendly Kitchen Staple
I’ve been using Crisco Vegetable Oil for years, and it’s earned a permanent spot in my kitchen. This soybean-based oil is a true all-rounder—perfect for frying, baking, or sautéing. The neutral flavor ensures it doesn’t steal the show, letting my ingredients shine whether I’m whipping up crispy fried chicken, fluffy cakes, or a quick veggie stir-fry. Its high smoke point (around 450°F) is a game-changer for high-heat cooking; no burnt taste, just consistent results. The 48-ounce bottle is a great value, usually priced between $4-$6, making it one of the more affordable options out there. The resealable cap is a nice touch, keeping things mess-free even during my chaotic dinner prep sessions. I also appreciate how clear and smooth the oil is, which makes it a solid choice for homemade dressings or marinades when I want something light. That said, it’s not perfect. Health-wise, it’s high in omega-6 fatty acids, so I try to balance it with oils like olive or avocado for everyday use. Also, the plastic bottle, while practical, isn’t the most eco-friendly. I’d love to see Crisco offer a glass option or larger sizes for sustainability. Overall, Crisco Vegetable Oil is a dependable workhorse for any home cook. It’s not the fanciest, but it gets the job done without breaking the bank. I’d recommend it to anyone looking for a versatile, budget-friendly oil for their kitchen. Just keep an eye on your overall oil choices for a balanced diet!

Oil
This is my favorite oil to cook with because it doesn't smoke. I've cooked with other vegetable oils and the oil always burns and smokes. Very good quality for frying foods. Very good size bottle lasts a good while. It has become my go to oil because it is dependable not to burn and smoke. Good for baking as well. Can be used as substitute for butter to create moist banana bread.
