Cordless strimmer
The product is good for the money and ideal for the amount of strumming we need to do.The metal blades are really good but sharp so take care.Tried one of the plastic blades and it snapped very quickly. So not so struck on those.Light, easy to use, I trailing cables to get cut or snagged.Ideal performance for a smaller garden.

Great little chopper
Great little grass cutter ideal for small gardens. Light and easy to use, however if the grass is long it does get stuck so would need to strim it down first. Instructions are as much use as a chocolate fire guard, doesn't tell you what blades are for what or how to put them on, or what the different guards are for. Main thing to be wary of is those blades are sharp and do get stuck in your fence if too close even with the bit on that's mean to stop it happening. Otherwise fantastic value for money and takes up very little storage space.

Very handy bit of kit
I've now used this strimmer for a couple of weeks on a variety of garden tasks and find it very good. It was easy to put together without reading instructions, it's a bloke thing. There are some observations.Firstly for cutting a lawn the plastic blades do a very good job. To test to destruction I used them to tidy up weeds growing through gaps in uneven paving slabs. It does the job well, but great care needs to be taken on the angles of attack of the blade or it will break......but it wasn't designed for uneven paving slabs gaps. Stick to lawn it'll be fine. The chunky metal blade performed much better on paving slab gaps, but again angle of attack of blade must be right. Slices through chunky weed stems. I haven't broken a metal blade yet.The circular saw is robust and easily copes squaring up a thick hedge with 3-5 mm stems. However, to do the top I held at shoulder height and angled the unit holding the blade, which has several positions to choose from......wear a full face mask for this. Probably not designed to do this task but it did it. As for cutting branches getting on for 1/2 an inch + depending on wood is probably it's limit, but maybe powerful enough to do more, though I take a sympathetic mechanical approach so didn't push it.Fairly robust unit all round, light enough for old blokes, batteries last really well and adjustable height good for a 6+ footer at full extension.Tips. Wear boots for anything but lawn, wear full mask mask for heavier tasks and watch out for spinning blades after you turn off, it's takes a few moments for it to stop. Personally I check the nut that tightens and holds blade in place frequently, but it's never come loose.Overall very very happy with item.Btw. Anyone fitted a string strimmer unit to one?

Bittersweet CAUTION
So. As the summer came around, I was keen to sort the garden and this epic piece of kit caught my eye. I did not have any of the issues reported, so maybe a QC issue, but my order arrived as expected. I set about work in the garden. After around 3hrs on the same battery, I was blown away by the performance. A bit flimsy, yes. But certainly capable as a blunt tool for tackling spring growth. I then spent another couple of hours on the following day with the new toy and tackled some hedge growth. At this point, I'm convinced this is a 5 star machine.Same again the following weekend. Then I noticed some odd tingling in my arms and hands. It took a while to figure out what was going on, but this really is a tragic side effect. It would seem that (for me at least) prolonged use of this magical tool will cause nerve damage (HAVS). Luckily I'm young(ish) and haven't been exposed too much to this sort of experience, but it really could cause long term harm if people aren't careful. I abstained from use for a couple of weeks and the sensation has faded.I may use it again for 10mins here or there, but I really ought to throw it out.
