I purchased this gate to keep my young ~10 lb puppy from roaming (and chewing...) the whole house. The gate is sturdy and was easy to install, even with all of the extensions for a wide doorway. Given my puppy is pretty small and the gate was pretty tight, I did not stick the adhesive cups to my doorway (though I still used them), and it seems to be fine for now. The gate has a safety feature where you have to slide a ridged button and pull up on a trigger at the same time to release the latch. This might be great if you were trying to keep a smart human toddler from falling down stairs, but we found that adults regularly couldn't get a good grip on the shallow ridges of the sliding button, especially when our hands were wet. (This is why I gave it only 4 stars.) To make it easier, we just super-glued a small (~1/4" diameter) clothes button on top of the ridges to help give us a deeper texture and better grip. The simple modification reduced our frustration immensely--it now works like a 5-star gate.

this was a little difficult to put together but after I figured it out this works great. The door can go either way and it’s very sturdy. If I ever need another one this is the one I will get.

This wonderful product. Easy to install, suit to lot of condition and kinds of corner of house. The feeling of close and open are solider and rapid. The design and manufacture all are perfect. Because the gate has a security lock with the main lock, so it is more reliable to be sued by older baby. The construction is firm and turt. I like this one so I will recommend to my friend. Thanks

We got this and a larger one to block off access for two foster dogs to the rest of the house. Nice looking and sturdy. Just be careful for smaller sized dogs. Our 5 year old yorkie mix got her head stuck between the bars. Fortunately, it was the one by the gate opening and we just had to carefully open the gate to set her free. Luckily, we were home at the time. I am sure it would be the same with any of the gates. We are lacing some plastic panels through the panels to prevent it from happening again. The positive side is, she was pulling pretty hard to get her head out and the gate stayed attached to the wall and did not fall on her. It seems pretty sturdy.

The media could not be loaded.  Got this gate due to the rounded bannisters at the bottom of the stairs. The horseshoe shaped parts helped us to utilize a gate of the height. Like it, like the look, but if you apply too much pressure it will shift and pop out of place which is a pain to fix. Got it to keep the new puppy and grandchild from going up the stairs unsupervised. Should work for the most part but a little pricey compared to some other options.

We have lots of gates to keep the dogs away from the cats. This one is by far the BEST. Super strong and self closing gate make it our favorite.

This gate is easy to install. Ive moved it from blocking a room to blocking a door and both work just fine. The swing gate stays open when i want it to and latches easily when I want it closed. At 1st, the latch seems like its not going to close but just keep moving the screws until it fits. I really had to work with the wrench that came with it, though, kept slipping but I would still recommend this purchase.
