Another Beautiful Book For Our Collection
We have Jed Alexander’s other books, Red and Gold and we’re excited to add Olive to our collection. Just as precious as the other books, we love his beautiful art style and the stories always include a sweet twist. You’ll love sharing this with the kids in your life!

Adorable series of wordless creative retellings of classic fairy tales
A sparrow drops an olive pit in the yard and a huge tree sprawls up to the sky overnight. When a girl comes upon this, she climbs her way to the top to find a very welcoming and friendly giant whom she spends the day eating and frolicking with. Back down on solid ground, the perspective changes to expose the girl for the giant she is in her own yard.‘Gold’ was the first in the series that I stumbled across and it immediately caught my eye. I have to say it is my favorite of the three, as the endearing ending completely caught me off guard. I love the change in 'Olive', of the positive relationship between giant and child, representative of the olive. I love the color schemes in this wordless series, employing only black, white, and the title color, as well as the use of panoramic scenes that really immerse you. I adore these creative retellings and hope to see more added to the series.
