I really love this backpack. I bought this to use as a carry on/personal item while travelling abroad to Europe and it fit so much while also remaining fairly low profile. It was comfortable to wear everyday and all my belongings stayed protected inside away from pickpocketers. Definitely recommend.

Love the safety features and the size

I was looking for a backpack for an international trip to serve as a carry-on/purse and also carry items on day trips while traveling. I took a representative set of items I usually carry: planer, Canon camera, extra lens, battery charger, wallet, Kindle, pens, water bottle, baby wipes, lip stick/lip balm; and tried them in several different backpacks. I reeeeeally wanted to keep the Metrosafe LS450, but it was just too large for my purposes. Also, as another reviewer mentioned, I couldn't get the straps to lay flat on my shoulders even when it was loaded. You could almost make it work as your sole piece of luggage for an international trip. There are so many pockets within pockets (which I love). I was able to find a place for everything. I liked the large expandable side pockets for water bottles and the zipper locks on the outside to prevent theft. The zippers were YKK too, so they were good quality zippers. I also liked that there were elastic straps to stow the extra length from the adjustable straps. (I hope that made sense.) Overall a great large backpack, just not what I needed.

Had my last PacSafe backpack for about 10 years. It’s saved me from a pick pocket in Chile. Would’ve lost my entire wallet and passport the first day of my trip. I could feel the person trying to unzip it, and I turned around and shamed them like Cersei on Game of Thrones. It would’ve been my fault for keeping my wallet in the outer pocket, but it is just so dang convenient. When my original backpack wore out, I bought a different version but it didn’t have the outer pocket, and it drove me crazy. So I’m switching to this one instead. All I have to say is thank goodness for the zipper locks! Here’s to another 10 years or worry free travel.

I had to fly to The Netherlands for an unexpected trip to a hospital. Spent three weeks trolling around trying to get food my husband would eat, to see apartments for him to stay in after discharge since he couldn't fly home right away, or just down to Belgium for a weekend away to visit friends. It is the perfect size for a laptop and an iPad, my travel purse slides right inside, a bottle of water fits nicely in the ample and tall side pockets, lots of space for little things like gum, glasses, charging cords...etc. I felt comfortable being jostled in standing room only trains knowing my zippers were locked. The bag doesn't stick out very far so you aren't smacking people as you walk by. It stows easily under an airplane seat. I have the gray and it is a nice neutral color that is different than the sea of black backpacks out there. I plan on buying one for each of my kids should we come back to Europe for an actual fun trip.

I got this to travel overseas. I didn't go anywhere dangerous or anything, but having the zipper locks made me feel a little safer on my travels alone far away from home. I loved that it was a tweedy gray color, that it wasn't bulky, but that it held what I needed conveniently. Mostly I just locked the one pocket that held my wallet, and left the others so I could get to lotion and other things easily. I loved that the side pockets for water bottles were nice and roomy, but also held smaller water bottles securely. The only thing I would have loved to have had is a strap across the back to slip it over the handle of my rolling carry on luggage. That would really be an GREAT feature if they added it. I loved everything else about it.

I took this backpack all over Europe and it held some heavy and packed full loads very well.It doesn't have any straps that go across the body, so all the weight rests on your shoulders. I had sore shoulders the day after carrying the pack when it was full, but I usually wore it for several hours at a time.It's very sturdy and holds a lot of stuff. I was able to pack for weekend trips with just this backpack.The locks on the zippers came in handy in particularly shifty places, as no one can open your pack without you noticing.Would buy again, but won't have to because it's holding up well after several months of hard use.

Every thing you would expect from Pacsafe. Fits my laptop, iPad and has plenty of room for all I need to work anywhere.

I've not had the backpack for very long, and I've only worn it locally going between my home and my university (I take a bus and the metro to get to and from), but so far, I'm extremely happy with it. The anti-theft/anti-pickpocketing mechanisms seem like they'll be very effective at deterring pickpockets. The backpack is also very comfortable to wear, which was a really important aspect to me. I haven't tested its holding capacity to the max yet, but it definitely has at least the same holding capacity of the average backpack. It is definitely roomy enough to transport a 13" (or even 15") laptop, a tablet, a few books, a light sweater/jacket, two water bottles (using the side pockets), and small devices/items (e.g., an e-reader, pencil case, etc.) all at once.

I have the 15L one and this one as well. Love them both, definitely feel more safe while carrying these bags around.Pros:-Enough room for my 15.6' laptop, my big surface 2 headphones, chargers and still plenty of space for other stuff.-Feel a lot safe while travelling in countries where there is a high rate of pick pocketers-Fantastic day to day. I use this bag daily to travel to and from work.-Lot of hidden pockets and hard to reach places where you can store your wallet, passport and keysCons:-Price. Bit pricey but worth it for all the security features.

This is a nice sized backpack that has added security for travel. I was never worried about valuables knowing I had engaged the security devices. The material is durable and the backpack is comfortable to use. Has an external spot for your water bottle.
