Compact and practical
Good torch, 2 intensities for both white and red lights, small and compact yet sturdy feeling with good weight, useful for confined areas.

Quality, versatile, reasonably priced
Used this flashlight extensively during a deployment, only needed to swap batteries twice over 6 months of regular use. Excellent for darken ship conditions. Recommend purchasing a lanyard, definitely saved it from dropping into my equipment or the ocean. Variable brightness excellent feature.Cons are buttons are easy to press in your pocket which became annoying while doing maintenance, standing watch, or taking a smoke break topside.

Surprisingly good flashlight
I had a longer, thinner version of this flashlight before but it wasn't this bright. And considering that it was for night flights, it was a bit disappoining. Then the inside AA battery got stuck and I couldn't get it out. Time for a new one. I was truly amazed at the brightness of this one. When they advertise 400 lumens, I had no idea what it meant. But it puts out an amazing amount of light for such a small flashlight. The dim and bright function of both the white and red light is great. I'd highly recommend it.

Good For Pilots
I have had two different older white / red flashlights but the problem was even the red LED was too bright in the cockpit. This flashlight has high power and a much lower power setting which can be saved such that when turned back on it starts in the saved intensity setting. This is a very welcome feature.Overall the higher power settings are more than sufficient for a preflight, while the lower setting is exactly what is needed at night in the cockpit. Battery life is unknown at this point given I haven't run it down yet. But that said it's not a light that will be used continuously thus I don't expect an issue, though I keep an extra set of batteries in my flight bag.

Just OK, couple of drawbacks
Overall it's OK. Bought it to throw in the flight bag. White light is fairly bright on the high setting but it has a pretty defined hot spot and not much spill. That's fine for use in the cockpit but for walkarounds I prefer to have a less focused beam. My real gripe is with the red light though. The emitter is offset inside the cone so there is a dark spot in the middle of the beam pattern and serious asymmetric throw. Will still work but makes it awkward and annoying to use. I'll attach some pictures to show what I'm talking about. I would like it to have a pocket clip also, not that big of a deal though. The construction does seem solid and overall seems like it is well made. I wanted something other than a cheap-o to rely on while flying in the dark.Pros:Construction seems solid and overall quality madeCompact and lightweightCons:White light has strong hotspot and not much spillRed light has a dark center and awkward/offset spillI bought it when the price dropped from $57 to $37. Would probably be dissapointed and return if I had paid the higher price. As it is, will likely keep it and use it as a backup.
