I’ve had my Alien Sunshade for about a week now and absolutely love it! First off, it’s purple and matches my purple accents on my Wrangler JK. Second off, it was a lot easier to instal than I had heard from others. I found a super easy instruction video on YouTube (by Alien Sunshade) that showed step by step which bungees to do in order. It would have been nice to have that step by step instructions in the box, but it was easy enough to find on YouTube. Overall, I would highly recommend it to everyone with a Jeep! I decided to finally get one after getting a farmers tan from wearing a T-shirt with the top off on the first sunny day! Ordered one of these right after that and it showed up within a couple days. It really does shade you from the sun, but still let’s airflow and the feel of not having a roof. I absolutely love it!

I am completely and hopelessly in love with my Alien Sunshade. I adore my Jeep top-down but living in Florida, that means many months are off limits due to intensely searing heat in the Sunshine State. It hit a bit early this year. When we topped 92 and I was stuck in traffic, I knew dreaded top-up time had arrived and I began to sink into a slight depression at the prospect of enclosed travelling. Thank all the powers of automotive deities that I discovered Alien! It is AMAZING and unbelievably easy to install. You can even leave it on when you put the top up. Best of all…it WORKS! Really, really well! As I crossed a bridge, I actually felt the cool air coming off the river instead of the blazing sun on my head. Sitting in traffic, the shade not only protects from the sun but also holds the AC in better. I swear it makes the stereo louder too. I think the mesh "bounces" the sound back in from the speaker bar or it could be that the lack of imminent heatstroke enhances my hearing. Honestly, I love this product so much, if you give me enough time I'll probably discover that my Alien Sunshade makes me look younger and drive better too! :) I may rename my Jeep, Roswell, so that my Alien feels right at home! If you are hesitant to purchase this...don’t be. If you ever feel uncomfortable in the sun with the top down...this is the cure. To enjoy your Jeep all summer, there are only two things you need: the key and your Alien Sunshade. I also want to address the comments that Alien is a “rip-off” of another brand. Bullpoo. If that line of thinking is correct then anyone driving a car that is not a Ford or has a phone not made by Bell is using a rip-off. Come on! This is America and we compete. That is what makes us strong. Competition keeps companies striving to go farther and do better. This is exactly what Alien did; better price, better warranty, incredible product and a much cooler logo! Plus, I was truly impressed with their excellent personal customer service. I emailed for info and got an immediate direct response from the owner! Alien rules the cool!

Shade was easy to install and looks awesome!!

One day in and I'm pretty happy I made the purchase. It was a hard decision between this shade on Amazon or an alternative brand more widely known. I was worried I would get some shoddy knockoff but so far I am very impressed. Installation was pretty easy and straightforward as long as you can figure out how to use the bungee balls correctly and where to place them. The instruction card that came with it was pretty simplistic and I used the photos here on Amazon to help guide me. It took me about 10 minutes to make sure I had it on right. Now that I've installed it, it really is pretty easy and I could take it off and re install in minutes next time. The shade feels very sturdy and professionally made. All of the seams and grommets are very nicely done and it definitely does not look like "cheap" product. I have never seen the other brand of sun shade so I can't compare directly, but I am really impressed with the craftsmanship. Right now we have 100 degree days with a very hot sun shining down. The shade let in sunlight that made me feel like I was still rolling topless but without the usual melting of my head, arms and face. Good air circulation too while cutting down on some of the crazy down drafts that mess up my wife's hair and cause her to complain. It's still a Jeep without a top and doors so her hair is still flying around, but not quite as bad as usual. If it makes her a little happier, it makes me happier, you know what I mean? It is pretty taught and even on the interstate going 65-70 I didn't have any obnoxious flapping or movement. It was very minor and not very noticeable. At slower speeds, I don't think I noticed any flapping at all. I'm only one day in but very excited about this purchase. This is exactly what I needed and I am glad I got a quality product for the price I paid for this sunshade on Amazon. I had also debated getting a sun bonnet but wasn't willing to give up my Jeep experience to put a roof over my head. Well, this sunshade solved my dilemma. I have a top but it still lets in light and air while only cutting out the majority of harmful sun rays etc, and I can still see the sky above me. I'll update if any issues come up. So far I predict smooth sailing. *Update After a few more days of use I can really appreciate how well this shade works. No more hot sun beating down on me but I still feel like I am in a convertible. At higher speeds on the interstate there is a minor flapping on the sound bar area but nothing really bad or obnoxious. Nothing I feel that needs to be corrected. There are metal grommets around the holes in the shade above the sound bar that line up with the mounting holes on the sound bar top. The grommets smack the sound bar and if I really thought it was an issue, I suppose I could attach a piece of felt or something on the top of the sound bar to dampen the contact. I am still impressed with the quality of construction, the tight fit and the results. I would buy it again and wish I would have gotten one sooner.

No road noise, even at 140 km/hr on the highway. No flapping. No buffeting. This is a solid awesome roll bar cover to keep the direct sun off you and your interior of your JK. Not water-proof, of course, but it does help a bit when in light rain conditions even when parked. Highly recommend this brand and product!
