OREInternational 8310SN Touch-on Table Lamp, Silver

I bought two in August. One just quit working. (February).Lamp is attractive but from the beginning they were sort of finicky. Would randomly turn off. Perhaps an indicator that I should have returned them earlier.This is NOT a 3-way lamp. Don't buy the 3-way bulb that Amazon is indicating that it works with as it won't. Use a regular incandescent bulb or a CFL that will dim. I can't speak to whether or not it will dim LED bulbs.I'll be taking it apart to see if I can figure out why it stopped working. Worst case I'll replace the socket with one that has a switch on it.EDIT: I picked up a 3-way touch dimmmer at Menards and isntalled it in 15 Minutes including finding something to reattach the felt to the bottom. I use CFL dimmable bulbs in these and used to only have two settings when I touched the lamp. Now I actually have three! If yours quits, don't throw it away. Mine is new again for $8.50 and a few minutes.

I was skeptical about ordering these because of the mixed reviews. But after searching and searching for 3-way touch lamps to replace our old ones, this was the only style I could come up with that we liked. So I took the chance. And they have been great! I've had them about 6 weeks now and no problems. I put in the light bulb that they came with (it's a candelabra style bulb) and they both do the 3 levels of light (low, med, high) and respond perfectly to my touch. They're attractive with a shiny metal neck and a matte metal base, just like it looks in the picture. I'm not crazy about the shade. It's off-white and a tapered shape, neither of which seems to go with the more sleek, modern design. I've got my eye out for something to replace it with when I find something I love, but it's adequate for now.So all in all, considering how worried I was about these even turning on, and how skeptical I was that the 3-way feature would work, I'm very happy with the quality and design of these lamps. They do exactly what I hoped they would do and they look great.

I had read the mixed reviews on this product before purchasing but I hoped to be one of the lucky ones who was really happy with it. It assembled easily, but there were dark spots on one side of the lamp shade which didn't wipe off. After turning it on there was also a noticeable grayish streak about 8" long. Although it appears to be a shadow it is unfortunately a permanent mark. The entire lamp was wrapped substantially so the discolorations must have happened before the packing.The lamp did come with a 40 watt bulb which does actually get quite bright after three touches. I didn't call the company for a replacement shade because I needed the lamp for Thanksgiving, only a few days away. I gave it 3 stars because the lamp base is very nice looking and sturdy and because the touch feature seems to work well. I will have to replace the shade at a later date, most likely with a white one. In my opinion the off-white shade does not compliment the silver base.

Nice design - looks pretty with my furnishings. But the neck, socket and harp (socket cover) are all very loose and no way to tighten them (unless I take it to a shop). Not worth returning because of postage. It functions, but it is poorly made.

Absolutely perfect for next to my bed. I had a pretty but too tall lamp and when I was in bed ready to turn it off after reading for a bit that lamp was too tall to reach the button to operate the lamp without sitting up again and fully waking up to do it. I ordered this lamp and now I simply touch it effortlessly and close my eyes. Nope, you cannot use the new LED bulbs so I've purchased some plain old every day 40 watt bulbs and stuck them in my light bulb supply tote. Oh and not only hand but the lamp itself is very pretty. Some have said the lamp shade could be better but it is fine with me. Most of the ones in stores are not a heck of a lot different these days.

We bought this for my 92 year old mother who can no longer turn a light on at the switch. This light is very light weight and was broken by her within the 1st day of use. She knocked it over. I tried replacing the light touch control but the new one blew when I plugged it in so I guess I'm out the money for the light.

I am very happy with this lamp. I purchased it for my elderly parent, who has begun to have some physical issues. They love that they can just touch the base for the lamp to go on. They have had touch lamps before - and they are usually quite unattractive. It would be nice if the lamp was taller and took a higher wattage bulb, but it is great for a nightstand. It is a 3 way, and only goes up to 40W. The white shade helps make it brighter, and for a child or elderly person who may be afraid in the dark - this is a great option since you don't have to fumble for the on/off switch and just need to touch anywhere on the base. I highly recommend this.

It came with a orange size dent, which surprised me because it was packed very well. Maybe it happen before shipped. It started buzzing on day to and now does not work. I need to send back but that seems challenging. I am waiting for my second one. Hopefully it works better. Its an attractive lamp, just want it to work & not damaged.
