So far so good. We'll see how it stands up to the test of time.
~~~~ Edit 9/10/2024 ~~~~Still going strong. No problems with the zippers. I have found that it has slowly sunk down as the straps that hold the front have worn. The top fabric that connects the mesh to the bar between the two front seats has sagged to the point where it is directly blocking my field of view when I look through the rear view mirror if there is nothing weighing it down. This would have, again, been resolved if that top portion had extended 5 more inches.Overall though, this has become a necessity for the boys. They hate getting into my friends truck now that doesn't have this, they love it so much. It Also allows me to store things under them at the foot of the back seats for travel. Of all of the different versions of this product I've tried, this one has been the best.~~~~~ end edit ~~~~~~~~~ Edit 12/23/2023 ~~~~It's seen quite a bit of use now and is still holding up well! Some of the boards have snapped in two, but the fabric is continuing to hold them in place. Haven't seen any rips or tears, and it's still holding its shape, keeping a flat platform for the boys in the back.I've put several thousand miles in them at this point and I am still very much liking them. I have two things I'm going to change though.1. They're not very waterproof. One of the boys got sick in the back and it leaked right through the Velcro spots for the buckles. I'll be putting a tarp under it from now on.2. I wish there was an option or way to extend the height of the mesh behind the front seats. In both vehicles it sits just below the headrest and they're still able to stick their heads over it. I've not found a solution for this yet.It would also be fantastic if there was a dividing mesh straight down the middle, so I don't have these dorks trying to climb over each other during the trip.It's still going strong though and so far has been the best one of 4 that I've tried.~~~~~ end edit ~~~~~I got 2. One for my 2002 Toyota Tacoma and one for my 2017 Toyota Camry. It fits the Tacoma better (I got the Car & SUV size for both). There is a long zipper connecting the front barrier with the bottom part of the seat. My boys are both about 80 lbs, so I'm concerned that zipper may give at some point. Hopefully this will keep my chronic front seat hopper where he should be (the one on the right in both photos.) I'll update if it fails at any point. Have not gone for a ride anywhere yet, but as of right now they both seem comfortable and it seems durable. Maybe it'll keep the dog hair contained too! One can hope.
Lifesaver
Absolutely love this. Our 90 pound lab used to try to climb into the front seat because she couldn’t sit comfortably in the back and would get scared. The stable base is perfect for her to lay on and the side panels protect from drool and dirt. It’s not the best for our 15 pound terrier, he somehow can crawl through the sides (he doesn’t when we drive because we can stop him) to get to the front but again, the side panels are great to protect from scratches. With the directions it was easy to put together. You can fold it to make room for a back seat passenger. My only issue is that it’s hard to check blind spots due to the barrier but just be super careful when driving your pups, otherwise you can easily put the barrier down when you’re not transporting them.
Good setup
I had another hammock style, side door protector seat cover but it wasn’t tall enough to stop our puppy from trying to get in the front seats. And since the bottom didn’t extend to the back of the front seats to cover the backseat leg room, it would just end up getting pushed further down when the puppy would try to get in the front.So I wanted something that would block our puppy from trying to get to the front seat, had side door protectors and the extended bottom piece for behind the front seats to cover the backseat leg room. I was hesitant to purchase this because it’s pricey but it does work for what I was wanting even with the two front seats at different settings.There’s poles (like tent poles) that you put in the sides to give it more structure which it does. Plus the front and back zip to the sides.The straps are not as substantial as I would like, and the long pole that’s supposed to provide support to the top by the front seats couldn’t be put in because the pocket you install it in was sewn down in the middle. It still works but is a bit wonky as you can see in my pics.This is installed in a 2022 Toyota RAV4.
Great for Jeep Gladiator Back Seat
We wanted something for our Jeep Gladiator back seat that my two large dogs (Golden & a lab) could lay on and have enough room. This cover actually is wider than the seat and works perfect. Sometimes we even fold up the third section of it so our teenage son can sit in the back seat as well.The cover has held up wonderfully. We are very pleased with it. My only complaint is I put my knee in the one corner when I tried to set it up the first time and I felt like I cracked the corner of the board that extends to the back of our passenger front row seat. It has held up just fine and no issues.We haven't had any accidents to test the waterproof part but their drool seems to dry up just fine. There are some folding poles that you must install to use. The product does come with a bag for storage as well.
Poor quality!!
At first this thing was amazing. We drive my truck maybe 1-2 days per week since I have a second work truck. But this is in the back seat of my ford superduty and it fits great, assembled great and for the first few trips with the dogs, it worked just how I wanted it to. Now, fast forward it still “works” technically but every zipper has either broken off or fallen off and it’s basically just a bottom pad now that the zip on side walls are just dangling there. It’s a good product at first but if your dogs like to lay down in the back seat it seems the pressure of them leaning against the zip on walls can’t take it.
Not completely waterproof
After taking the dogs to the beach, they got some water in the backseat. After the one hour drive home it had soaked through the cover into the wood and now is ruined. Kinda sad only got to use it once for $140…Savannah
Full coverage and sturdy
This is the best dog seat cover that I have come by. I have 2 labs and on long road trips I feel bad when they sleep on the floor of the car. This gives them plenty of room in the back seat while also protecting my seats and windows. The mesh in the middle is also great so you can see your pups and make sure they can get AC.
