Good quality, works as advertised but make sure knives are dry to avoid rust/oxidation

This guard fit my chefs knife perfectly. The material is a strong flexible plastic that was shaped to hug the knife blade and stay on it.

Great guard for the value. Durable from getting bashed around the station. Safe & secure in the knife bag. Slight texture to grip and flip. More than ready to replace all my flimsy cheapies with it. Not super easy to clean and dry on the fly, but that is just the nature of guards. Hopefully you are keeping your knives clean by the time they get to the guard.

One edge of this sheath is open. I'm used to sheaths only having the end open which is how I was sliding the knife into the sheath. However, I found out by cutting my thumb while sliding the knife into the sheath from the end that the sheath was open on one side. I ended up with a significant cut. I had to mark it on my own which side was open and which side was not. There are no instructions or information included with the sheath packaging.

My chef son sharpened my knives for me and scolded me for not having sheaths to protect them. He recommended these, so now all my knives are protected.

I bought an 8 inch Japanese Chef's knife recently and quickly realized I would need some sort of knife cover to make sure the blade is not damaged when in storage, (esp the tip as they can break) as well as protect others who might not know just how sharp this knife really is. When I received it I immediately put it on my knife and I was really happy to find it slid onto my knife perfectly and did not budge at all away which gave me peace of mind. Its a good quality, thick, and sturdy plastic and really is unmoving. Im thoroughly impressed and would definitely recommend this especially for the price!

Product that I received is not the same that's pictured. Will still work for me, and wasn't worth having to deal with returning. Would not purchase again.

Simple product, sturdy plastic. Works. May scratch your knife, but hey, a kitchen knife is made for preparing food and not for babying right?

I bought this for my vintage bullnose knife which extends just a wee bit over 10inches. I was very happy to see that the edge cover is actually 10.5inches long, thus shielding the entire blade fully and then some. Good quality, thick plastic. As to how long it will last before cracking like all plastics do these days, only time will tell. The cover fitted the knife snugly, without making it unduely diffcult to draw or sheath the knife. I like it very much.

If you've got a good knife, this is cheaper than cheap and protects the blade well. Stays on in the drawer. Had this for over a year and it still does it's job.
