Works fine
Works fine for now on 2007 Seat Ibiza FR, the quality seems fine and it seems to have sorted my issue. Only thing I’d say is the O ring doesn’t seem to be as strong as it is on a genuine one, but it still seals fine and does the job this’ll be a good temporary maybe permanent fix we’ll see how it goes.

2003 Audi A2 1.4tdi 2-pin Coolant Temperature Sensor
The Audi A2 1.4tdi has two coolant temperature sensors, a two pin one at the front attached to a hose and a four pin one at the back of the engine in the cylinder block. I was pretty sure it was the connector on four pin one which was at fault but for safety decided to replace both. There are plenty of videos on YouTube showing the disconnection and removal of the in situ sensor. Fitting the replacement may seem straightforward but there can be issues. One of these is that the O-ring provided is too thin and leaks. Mine did! The solution is to use the old O-Ring if it's thicker or find a replacement which i happened to have. The second issue is fitting the retaining clip- stupidly I spent an hour trying to push the clip through the slot on one side and out the other WRONG!!! The correct approach is that the ends of the clip go from the outside into both slots at once, then push and it clips into place- it took a minute or less and it was secure!! As I suspected the actual problem was the connector on the 4 pin sensor which had been butchered by the garage who fitted the sensor so that the connector's retaining clip could travel far enough to engage and hold in place. Somehow with a little patience(None) I managed to get it to stay on and the temperature gauge is now working again.

as described
as described, just make sure your temp sensor is faulty, mine was the gear box thermostat, so now I have a spare sensor

Did the job. A fast way to change this is loosen the the faulty sensor then have your new one ready. Pull out the old one and quickly push in the new one. Minimal coolant loss. Top up as needed.

Prodotto assolutamente consigliatissimo
