I recently bought this type of chair for approximately $23.00 on amazon.com. I had to return that to an amazon/Whole Foods return center, interestingly still haven't received my refund even though it was returned on September 22. Anyway, that cheaper chair never seemed to lock right, and one day when I sat on it, said chair fell completely apart. This new chair is obviously heavier, more solid, better built. Yes, it costs a bit more but is well worth it. It's like a lot of things - you get what you pay for. Buy junk and it falls apart. Buy something that is heavier and better constructed and it lasts. At least I hope this chair will last. I also like the square seat as opposed to the round. Buy this seat - it is good.

Its exactly what it claims! Strange as that sounds. Strong, light, collapseable. I weigh 300lbs and have to be careful what I sit on. This held me perfectly fine. I could even extend it halfway and use it like a small step stool. Sometimes on the jobsite i use it told hold my toolkit while im working, instead of sitting on it.7-17-23 update. 5 stars down to 1 star. Gently sat down and it shattered on me and collapsed spilling me onto the concrete. I was on a job site and my back was sore today so i wanted to sit while i worked rather than bend over, and it just shattered! I've also been losing weight so I'm around 290 fully dressed it's supposed to hold 450, right?

I must admit I was surprised at the sturdiness of this seat! I love it. I am not a light weight person and have never had a problem with it. I like the height adjustments available. The strap is very handy. Great for gardening and photography. Love it!

My husband injured his lef. He used this a work where he walks a lot. It helped him take breaks. It did crack tho. Still able to use, but I’m afraid the integrity is gone.

This is such a great product! I love the size and shape of it! The seat is a square instead of a circle, which means you get more surface area to sit on and it's much more comfortable for longer periods of time. It is so portable! It folds up neatly and has its own carrying handle. It is easy to pull out and secure for sitting and folds up easily when you're ready to move on. I cannot recommend it highly enough to people who don't need a wheelchair but still want a convenient place to sit down while waiting in a line or a crowded place with not enough seating. I have used it in airports, around town at farmer's markets, etc. and at museums where there are no chairs! It only weighs a couple of pounds, so it fits easily in a suitcase.

Bought this for my garage. I love it, it has many uses like a ball game, a concert, fishing, and especially RV’n where you’re always looking for a chair and something lightweight to carry in your RV, I absolutely love it and I like the carry-on strap. Amazing.

I have used this product for a week. I work in HVAC so it was great for the knees and back and easy to lug around. Notice how I said WAS, I weigh 220 so nowhere near 400 lbs and have only used the product as a seat and today it completely collapsed and broke apart. Several of the tabs just exploded everywhere, I'm cautious everytime I expand the seat because I've honestly never trusted the little plastic tabs that keep it in place. This seat seems great for the 150lb and below club or maybe mine was faulty, either way I escaped without injury and won't be getting another one.

As an 84 year old senior with balance problems, I feel secure on this seat. I looks attractive when closed or open. I am able to stand after sitting on it with no problems while other seats have failed. It opens and closes with very little effort and is adjustable in height for different tasks. A very good value.
