Affordable Portable Rod With Options for Fishing
This rod breaks down so the handle can be removed for ease of portability in a backpack. It's decently bendable and sensitive for its small stature. That said, the wooden handle is a nice touch and usually seen on more expensive rods, but looks killer. Has a good weight to it overall. All in all, I'd be hard pressed to find a nicer looking and nicer feeling travel rod for the money. I'll be keeping this in my car to stop anywhere i see water. For that reason alone, this rod is an amazing value and I look forward to using it often this summer. Where this rod shines to me is it is not limited to tiny fish. It can catch decent sized creek fish for sure. I have it spooled with 6 lb test rn because that's all I have, but if I were buying things again, I'd buy 4 lb to spool on it. I have it paired to a 1000 series reel (which also has a wooden looking handle - might be plastic, but looks wood). While I am targeting panfish, my real test is going to be when I take this lil guy out to catch some bass! :)Edit: added photos of the fish the rod caught. Kinda surprised!
Honestly! Not sure why so many people don’t like this. It’s actually kinda neat! It can also fit other reels on it and not just ice fishing specific ones which makes it so versatile! The wood meats meat and it attaches rather snug so it doesn’t lose fish and isn’t that what’s it all about!

Not sturdy. Top eyelet fell off
The handle is sturdy but the reel itself gets tangled all the time. You also can’t fit much into how much line the reel can hold. The eyelets are cheaply made and broke off.Three stars because it is a good looking handle.
