Bottom line: Worth every penny.
Pros: 1. On oranges and other citrus, the squeezing efficiency is 100%, on pomegranates the squeezing efficiency is 90%. No such efficiencies on any other juicers. In long term value to money is very high. 2. Due to juicer structure, very easy to squeeze, no need to put a lot of force on juicer. 3. After experience with some citrus/pomegranates juicers, this is the only one which squeeze pomegranates easily (besides the squeezing efficiency). Just cut the pomegranate into 4, squeeze it a little manually on the squeezing plate, and squeeze with handle. 4. Makes you buy citrus/pomegranates in high frequency (clementine is my favorites) which gives you healthy vitamins and minerals. As a sports fan, nothing compares to a fresh orange juice after running outside (don't forget to put citrus/ pomegranates in refrigerator). 5. Easy to clean and to assemble. Takes 30 seconds to assemble before squeezing and 1-2 minutes to clean and to disassemble after squeezing. 6. High quality juicer, unlikely to break or be damaged. Cons: 1. Quite expensive, but as mentioned, worth it. 2. Heavy juicer (~21lb). Preferred to be installed in kitchen without moving it.

Paint fails after a few years
Paint is coming off after a couple of years of use in spite of what they advertise. It's quite messy with big pomegranates, even cut into quarters it seems like it doesn't produce as much juice as it should. Looks cool, but sad about the paint.

The one and only.
Part of why the US price runs somewhat high is the weight of this indestructible juicer. It’s solid iron and you are paying about half for (import) freight. This is the original, and you’ll find it on many corners in Tel Aviv, Jerusalem and in practically any other Israeli city. Mostly in the orange color. This will not only outlast you, but possibly your next generation. This is the best manual squeezer money can buy. You’ll get 100% of an orange out of it, and that’s (roughly) a third of a glass. It cleans up easily, and fast. The ‘feel’ of the simple machine is professional. It’s heavy and robust and makes everything else in your kitchen look fragile. It stands very tall, so make sure it has space above it. Enjoy this forever.

You need this mounted to work efficiently
This was the most expensive manual juicer out there and to be honest it really needs to be mounted to a table to juice efficiently. The machine itself is very solid and will last a long time. Another thing was the taste of the orange juice. I have one of those cheap $20 Cuisinart electric juicers that you put the cut orange on and it spins while juicing the orange and the taste from that cheap machine was better then this expensive juicer. Just had an odd taste … hard to explain but I like the taste much better from the cheaper electric juicer. This juicer needs strong suction cups of your going to use it in your kitchen. When you lift the handle after pressing down to juice, the front of the machine lifts off the table and if your not careful your cup of juice will spill over. I wanted so badly to love this machine and was so excited to try it but it’s being returned :( I don’t think I will find anything that beats the cheap electric juicer I have.

Don't believe the negative reviews
I work for a restaurant, we have gone through many manual and electric juicers. Did some research and found this one about 3 years ago. It is worth the expense! Fellow employees LOVE it! From how easy it is to use, the amount of juice that comes out of the fruit and easy to clean. It is large and could be slightly heavy to some. At some point, one of the rubber pieces was torn. We purchased the warranty, cause that's the smart thing to do! So contacted them and they shipped that part right away. I see it's no longer available online, but if you look them up, they have a website.

Looks great but awful to use.
First I used this on limes, it only removed about 1/2 the juice. So I thought perhaps the limes were too small so I tried juicing a grapefruit, it removed less than 1/2 the juice as well. You've got to hold the unit steady or it will tip over on both the downward and upwards action. There is nothing good about this juicer.

Good juice maker
We just approximately 4.5 quarts a day of oranges in this beast daily and it works well. Little maintenance though it must be lubed and easily cleanable with a straw cleaner and brush. Design errors are that there is no catch to hold the squeeze funnel to the platform it sits in and that the base isn’t quite high enough to fit a quart jar. Cups and things work fine just splash a little so I pull the funnel out and the catch, then insert a quart jar. For the amount of money this costs they could add these things to make it better. I like the product and does us a nice job but would go for a less expensive one if I was to buy another

Best Juicer
Awesome juicer. I live in La Quinta, CA where there are a lot of citrus trees. This juicer is the perfect accoutrement to our bar. It does large grapefruit and small key limes. The working parts are easy to remove and clean. It is heavy enough to stay put during juicing. The strainer lets enough pulp through to be interesting but not annoying. It feels solid and durable.
