Learning Without Tears My Printing Book Workbook, 1st Grade+, Age 6+

My child never struggled with writing, but his letters were all over the place—capital and lowercase mixed up, uneven sizing, and inconsistent placement. Handwriting Without Tears was exactly what we needed to turn that around. The program’s simple, step-by-step approach helped him understand where letters “live” on the line and how to make them the right size. The visual cues and repetition really worked—and best of all, he enjoyed it! No stress, no boredom, just steady progress and neat writing. If you’re looking for a clear, gentle way to teach handwriting fundamentals like spacing, sizing, and letter formation, this is hands down one of the best tools out there. By the end of the program, his writing had improved drastically—neater, more consistent, and so much easier to read. Highly recommend!

My 6 year old is enjoying this workbook and can do it independently. I have seen an improvement and awareness in letter formation and size uniformity when writing. My son enjoys coloring the images after he is done with the writing activity for the day. The paper quality is very good but I wish the cover was thicker as ours has ripped only a month into our homeschool year. Even with the tiny downfalls, I still highly recommend!!!!

We saw improvement in handwriting. Considering ordering the next level book. I would recommend.

Perfect homeschool book for writing for my kiddo. Good quality, no tears, and easy self explanatory

My first grader has been using these since last year and we get soooo many compliments on his handwriting! 10/10 reccomend

We’ve used these books by Handwriting Without Tears for 3 kids and have loved them every time (aside from one exception). They teach exactly how to form letters, with fun graphics to the proper way: “slide down and up” with a picture of a slide, “magic c”, bump the line like bumper cars). They’re the perfect small portions that aren’t too overwhelming. We usually do two pages a day. I used this yellow book for my 1st grader and it was just right. My older kids have gone through all the books. The only one I really disliked from this company was the cursive book - it’s terrible and doesn’t teach cursive with the correct slant that you need for flow, plus they added weird flat lines between letters than my son tried to imitate, plus the m’s and n’s are very confusing. Choose Cursive Logic instead. But for printing books, I love this brand!

Purchased these to help my child fine-tune writing form and prepare for cursive writing. Enjoyable practice work that is not dreaded. Noticed immediate improvement.

Arrived on time and was exactly what I wanted, glad I was able to order it since no stores in our area carry something this hands on

Good and fast delivery

Bought this for my grade one homeschool daughter it’s perfect it’s definitely helping her with correcting some bad habits and bringing her penmanship to be more legible .

Using for grade 1- easy to use & mostly independent

Wonderful tool to help kids learn to print neatly. My boys get really frustrated with writing and they like these books. It’s helped them a lot.
