Shimano Unisex Adult BB52 Bottom Brackets - Silver, Size 68

I have replaced the bottom bracket on my mountain bike tourer about 4 times in 10 years and each one has lasted thousands of miles in different conditions before starting to get crunchy. The price is reasonable, the parts are easy to find and replacement is easy with the park tool wrench. I’m a happy customer.

Seems legit but didnt arrive in a box

For Shimano hollowtech cranks and equivalent Sram cranks. Fits frames with 68mm and 73mm width at the bottom bracket. The non drive side threads off and on as normal. The drive side has the opposite threading directions, it untightens clockwise and tightens anti clockwise. Clean and regrease the threads in the frame when the old bearing has been removed. Typically road bikes don't use the provided spacers but moutain bikes do. Check the service manual online to find out what spacers your bike needs and on which sides. Snug the bearings down tight into the frame. Grease the crank spindle before fitting.

Make sure you get the Hollowtech spanner to do this job, a cheap one is quite sufficient, I didn't realise it was so easy my mountain bike bb is smooth as butter now well worth doing, as usual a great product by Shimano

Shimano Deore. Always top quality, never flashy, reliable as a wood-burning stove. Fit and forget. Replaced a Suntour bottom bracket which seized literally after one wet ride.

A cheaper bottom bracket but will serve you well and at the price point buy 2 and keep one in the tool box for replacement when needed.

Shimano created hollowtech. Its a good upgrade or replacement. Def better than the chinese knockoffs.
