Sums up the sheer stupidity of , war near the end the Germans , and allies agree on an armistice, so every body knows that come 11 Am all every body needs to do is keep there heads down ,and stafe though this German commander decided on one last charge right up to 11Am , come 11Am it suddenly stops what a stupid waste However in real life these things did happen, the guns kept firing till.the last few seconds , but in one bonkersCase an American general says he needs a bath , and gives orders to take a town I this city so he can have one and it cost 3,000 American soldiers ,is it true I don't know I saw it on a documentary what I do know is one American unitLaunched an attack on a ridge it was coming up to 11AM the Germans aghast urged them to stop and go backAnd sadly that is how one brave soldier American again I think, died just a few seconds to 11am, the Germans gunners stopped shooting got up threw away their firing bolt to their machine gun and sadly walked away

This is not an easy film to watch and puts over the sheer brutality, hurt and waste of lives (many of them young lives) that took place during the later stages of WWI.The story is told from a German perspective and is not “Hollywood-ised” as many of our war films seem to be. I will not be watching it again, but I am pleased that I have seen it once - imo it would be an excellent addition to the curriculum for all older secondary school children.

I don't get what they were thinking with this design. The paper sleeve just sort of wraps round and can be removed way too easily. It needed to come with a plastic cover that contains the entire package.

I don’t like to do this every time I purchase something it’s very off putting

It is high quality and a fantastic film but the packaging is a bit annoying. It's not a standard height so doesn't fit in well. Still, it's overall good.

World War One from the German point of view which you normally don’t see and shows futility of war. Great film ,great acting

Absolutely brilliant depiction of ww1 A heartbreaking 💔 watch but as many as possible should see it.
